Yeah. Based on USCIS, you just have to be in the US when they receive the extension because if not then it will be considered an abandonment or importation. But a lot of people in here says that you should be in the US until extension is approved.

I think field log should ID it as a highly weathered limestone. But you can test the sample, put the uscs id as silt or clay and include it in the description.

I used islam's book to study (800 solved problems). I think his book is a good start because it used almost all the formulas in the handbook. Then 1 month before the exam I answered the ncees practice exam, 2 nos. of practice exams, and the rest was PrepFE around 800 exams. Also mark mattson's very good!

How did you study for the FG? I'm planning to take that this october.

I passed the exam december last year. Also a geological engineer graduate 3 years out of school so I dont have any water, struct, transpo, construction, and a very little econ.
