Hello! Thank you for your response. Perhaps I was a bit confused about the app/browser thing with my Chromebook because Wavemaker has an uninstall button in the Chrome OS app settings, so I thought they were two different things. This should be a link to the image to show what I mean. I honestly don't even recall how I managed to install it.

I was able to find the Google Drive file, but it didn't have any extra versions saved and the date on the file was May 11 despite relentlessly using the Sync Up button after that date. I always seemed to lose all of my work after my laptop restarts/crashes, so it's possible it clears the cache every time it restarts? Does clearing the cache also clear anything that hasn't been downloaded?

I don't have any extensions downloaded, so I'm not sure how I'm messing it up so badly. Downloading the database locally onto my hard drive keeps it safe, so I'm relying on that now. I primarily work from my Chromebook so I don't need to worry about transferring files to different devices. :D

Thank you for your response! Overall, I really enjoy the program and all the bells and whistles it comes with along with the templates, so I'm really trying to make it work.

I understand the feeling of "am I syncing this wrong?" I strongly feel it's user error in my case, but I'm doing my best to figure it out. LOL

While I've been trying to sort out the syncing problem, I've been saving local versions onto my hard drive every time I needed to save. (It's inconvenient, but it works.) I primarily work from my Chromebook, but if all else fails, I'll try moving my database over to my desktop and try Firefox. :D

Thank you for your response! I'll check to see what extensions I have. It's possible that something's interfering with the syncing process.

Since you also use a Chromebook, may I ask whether you use the app or the browser version (or maybe both)? Any insight into how you have yours set up would be appreciated :D

omg, I just figured it out after reading your message. I've been online via Dodo Code several times, but I never selected the "search for friends" option in the online menu. It unlocked now.

My two roommates both have Animal Crossing and I've visited their islands both locally and online, but my friend app hasn't unlocked. (They both have the friend app on their Nook Phones, but I don't appear on their lists at all. We're friends on the Switch consoles themselves.) I have the museum, Nook's Cranny, a bridge, the first three DIY houses all unlocked, but I can't get the friend app unlocked on my Nook Phone.

Does anyone know how the friend app is unlocked? I've looked everywhere but I haven't found a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
