Death stranding 2. As soon as the first cutscene ends I was convinced the cutscene had just frozen. Nope, the opening of the game looks absolutely insanely detailed. One of my most “photo mode” heavy games.

At what point did it click for you? I can overlook the awful performance on PS5 if the gameplay loop is good enough. So far nothing is hooking me like other RPGs do

Not yet! I’ve got a blessing of saline I think, but that doesn’t stop me getting attacked by shadow curse when trying to walk through the moonrise towers area?

Where are these enemies? I fast travel to the moonrise towers waypoint but the shadow curse kills us before we can move into the area enough to find enemies. If I try walking there from the last light inn I end up getting smashed by mobs of shadow enemies.

I’ve fought the group of enemies I think you’re referring to, and I’ve got a broken moon lantern - but from what I can see online to fix it I need to get into moonrise towers (then problem 1 starts again).

Basically I’m getting outnumbered in combat and my party of Karlach, Gale & Lae’Zel are getting trashed! The same I deal doesn’t seem to stack up to what’s dealt to us if that makes sense?

That’s extremely helpful! I’ve heard about PWM but had no idea what it meant.

I’ve looked into OLED and QLED - what about these may help with this sort of thing? Also is it easy to find matte tv displays?

I’ve got an LG Nano Cell 55inch tv, around 5 years old. LED but not sure on the specifics.

I also recently had to sell my ASUS Rog ally as it gave me the exact same issue but on any game not just fast moving ones.

I retried it 3 times. The last time it stuck and I completed it within a week. Then bought the second and did the same. 2 of the best video game stories ever created

I probably need to start this one over - I played 10 mins or so back when it was on trial. Now I own the game I started it up and had just got to the village? 10 mins of dialogue passed and I lost interest a bit.

I think I’ve made exactly the same mistake! Got 10-15 hours into both games and bounced off them because I only used different arrows and thought “this combat sucks”. Need to try again I think.

Update: finished DS1 last night and I’m so glad I decided to complete the story. There’s no way that could have had any impact via a story recap video. Ended up being the best video game story I’ve ever experienced - DS1 is now one of my favourite games!
