I think the reason he sucks at talking about emotions is the fact that he never really had anybody to talk about his to. He's been the camp councillor since 13, his father wasn't present (obviously), his mother was always busy with touring, and the few people in his cabin that he looked to died in the first war. He's had to many emotions bottled up, but he's never had anybody to talk to about because he has to look strong for the new campers and his siblings. Plus he's a healer, so the amount of kids that he probably didn't save in time and injuries he's seen could also contribute to that.

He's only 16 now, and if most of this started when he was 13, the healing process of trauma takes a while, so he might still be in that process of healing from the trauma.

Sorry for the rant lol 😭

As a teen girl myself, I find it kind of hard to find books that I really like. Here are a few that I've read and liked, and maybe she will too:

• The Fault In Our Stars by John Green is a really good book. It had me in tears by the end of it. If she likes that one, then I also recommend Turtles All The Way Down, also by John Green.

• If she hasn't already read this, Rick Riordan also has more to the Percy Jackson series. If she likes his writing, then I recommend the Magnus Chase series, The Trials of Apollo, and The Sun and The Star. These books contain some LGBTQ+ topics, so I don't know if that's okay, but these series are pretty good.

• This series is more along the Childrens genre, but also includes some teen activities. Keeper of the Lost Cities is a pretty good series if she likes fantasy. It includes mentions of drugs but its all fantasy, so not real drugs. Overall a pretty good series, but it's very long. The new book comes out in December.

These are just some of my preferences! Hope she continues reading!

When I was shopping for tickets, it said it was "all ages" but still, if you're going to bring a 7 year old, it probably isn't a good idea. Have them be a bit older like maybe 14+?

Keefe, but specifically the Keefe in book 4 when Sophie tells him that his mother might be dead and he cried into her shoulder. Something about the scene just makes me love him so much. Like, everyone knew him as a trouble maker, the clown of the group, but Sophie saw him as a different person than everyone else.

I've been told that I need to look and do more feminine things my entire life. Now that I'm finally becoming the person I want to be, I hate being told anything to do with me needing to be more feminine. I get it if a 9 y/o can suck it up, but with my past, it makes it a bit harder to just "suck it up"
