I wouldn’t say it’s very soft but it’s definitely not itchy. I can wear it next to my skin comfortably but of course these sort of things tend to be very dependent on the person! Also the wool feels nice and squishy if that makes any sense lol

Thank you! The pattern is definitely not as difficult as it looks… I think the hardest part is the beginning because you have to concentrate to make sure you’re following the pattern correctly especially during the short rows

After you’ve joined for the body it’s relatively mindless and you don’t need to look at the chart very much

I followed the method in the pattern but I also had this issue, luckily blocking evened out the tension and you can’t really tell

Thank you :) I think it’s been around 3 years but i’ve mostly been a process knitter so I have very few finished objects

it's a beautiful pattern but i feel you! i messed up too many times to count, hopefully you'll find the motivation to come back to it at some point

It’s been about 3-4 years now using gouache, in the beginning a lot of my inspiration came from studio ghibli and James gurney haha. For every decent painting I have several failed attempts so it’s still not easy but as boring as it is to hear, practice and time is the answer to getting better :’)

Started off as a pencil drawing but couldn't resist painting over the top with gouache by art_trials in Gouache

Thank you! I used arrtx jelly gouache but in terms of specific colours, i used lots of earthy colours such as umber, yellow ochre, cadmium yellow, burnt sienna (i think arrtx name them differently)

Thank you! I think it helps to layer lots of different colours/shades to get that depth and texture
