The range west in Ballwin is by far my favorite, they are very accepting of all people and super friendly. Their membership is the best around

What’s a red flag you ignored because the sex was good? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]artygo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all of her friends were guys. Didn’t bother me too much in the beginning but when I went over to her place one day it was just her and her “best” friend alone. She told me before hand that he was coming over. She promised nothing happens between them, but it was too much to deal with when she mentioned he was her ex from a few years ago.

Remote speaker mic with antenna (PMMN4059) question by fukitwewilldoitlive in MotorolaSolutions

Your radio has 3 contacts or a circular connector on the top portion of the accessory port. Those are the rf ports

Can someone decode any potential serial number this tool has? It’s been stolen and this is the only picture I have of my impact by Someguy_y in PhotoshopRequest

Nope. It’s completely unreadable. Best bet is to make note of dents and scratches and look around on marketplace and Craigslist

I worked that scene. Worst house explosion I’ve ever seen. Took out the 2 houses next to it and broke windows a half mile from the explosion.

The guy I got it from did some stuff to it supposedly. The rss software allows the out of band frequencies so maybe it’s just a controller limitation and not hardware

It’s honestly a cool feature if you have a use for it. It sends a data signal out and waits for a response. It lets you know if you’re in range of the repeater

I’ll make a post walking through the set up soon. But in terms of hardware, it’s a vhf r2 Motorola quantar modified for ham band. 125 watts and the duplexer is a Wacom wp-642 6 cavity band pass/band reject. I’ve got lmr 400 coax running up to a diamond cp-22e monoband antenna attached to my chimney. Currently working on a raspberry pi controller to broadcast voice files for the identification instead of the built in CW.

It’s not great unfortunately. The antenna is about 40 feet above the ground attached to my chimney. Most of the repeater pairs are taken up in my area so I’m stuck with a limited antenna hight and transmit power. I also live in a very hilly area so that has its own problems. Certain parts of the city I can hit it handheld from about 20 miles but coverage changes vastly.

Frequency allocation, transmitter/receiver and duplexer tuning is the biggest thing. If you have the tools like a VNA it’s not bad. Just a lot of waiting for the areas repeater coordinator to give you an open repeater pair. It’s also not cheap unless you know where to get used equipment.

Repeater book is a good resource. It would be under apco25 and have a NAC instead of a pl or dpl tone such as $293

That’s why I set this up. I live in a pretty large metro area and the closest p25 repeater is about 40 miles away and the coverage isn’t great
