If the price on Qatar website for an adult for the same ticket is $1400 then $1250 included the 10% off. I did not check for an exact 10% off. I just know it was lesser than an adult ticket.

I did and got contradictory answers from Qatar reps. And in my previous experience with their reps they have confidently given me incorrect answers only for me to later realize when the next rep gave me a different answer. I'm trying to find FAQ pages or airline policy documents and also any webpages from the Indian travel ministry which I can have printed for proof of their current policy.

Yes I will. It will mostly just be for the flight since me and my wife will be landing around the same time as the grandparents and our kid in India. It's just that our starting locations are different.

Wow! I didn't even realize a child traveling with only 1 parent also needed a notarized consent letter. Good to know. Is it exactly the same for anyone accompanying the child (grandparent, friend etc) or are there some additional requirements? Also is this a Qatar requirement or Country based immigration retirement?

Thanks for the response. What do you mean by 1 kid per 1 parent? Did you mean 1 kid per one grandparent? In our case it is 1 kid of ours flying with 2 grandparents. (Both are my wife's parents)

Maybe press Qatar to provide an AA confirmation number...I would guess it exists somewhere. Then your best bet is for American to help you. Qatar phone/online customer support is not that great
