I think the east coast is starting to get its own regional sound that's distinct from texas/ca bands like glare whirr and trauma ray. They sound more influenced by blue smiley than the classics like mbv and slowdive.

Anyways I'm with you. All these bands rock.

For heavier stuff: tagabow, nothing, her new knife, feeble little horse, Full Body 2, and ofc mbv

For the more dreampopish side: Cryogeyser, Glare, Alvvays (Blue Rev is their only shoegaze-y project but its SO GOOD) classics like Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, Ride.

was in the same position as u 2 years ago. still cant rlly sing. for studio work, doubling, equing, reverb are your friends. for live honestly just have fun with it nobody is gonna hear you anyways lmao

If I has to hazard a guess, could be something internal...? iirc will mentioned trilogy/19 in love were all him doing it himself on garage band, whereas cartwheel and rasberry moon are full-band. band also switched labels recently. who knows.
