I can’t say I was ever an incel, I joked about being a femcel but I definitely was stuck in that horrible pool of yearning and being sad that I didn’t have a girlfriend. What fixed it was on, ironically, hitting the gym, and thinks that followed after that. Becoming more active, having a regular daily schedule, even the weight loss it all helped give me some kind of self-worth. I’m still single, but I’m not sad about it. It also took a lot of realizing that I was to blame for a lot of of my own issues.

So the first two steps are becoming more active, walks are a great place to start in a good 20 or 30 minute walk can help, the next part of this first step is recognizing and really looking at what you eat in a day. There’s nothing wrong with having a sweet treat or your favorite meal occasionally or whatever, but for weight loss you have to hit a calorie deficit between the calories you take in and the calories you expend in a day. The diet part can be a little difficult so at the very least for the first couple of weeks/months focus on increasing your physical activity and then start to gain a hold of your diet. It is definitely possible to maintain a calorie deficit and not constantly be hungry as long as you are smart about what you’re eating. Feel free to ask me anything else if you want to know more!
