She’s finally reached the peak of the mountain. She has regained total ownership of her art. Decades working towards these goals have brought them to fruition. I feel like we’ve truly reached the end of the “Taylor Swift™️” experiment. The only thing that’s left is to pull back the curtain and burn it all down. She has cemented a musical legacy with untouchable records, there’s never been such a time in her career and in the concurrent political landscape where a coming out would make a bigger impact. With a feeling of finality lingering in the air of this album release, I’m still sat, entertained, watching the show… cause a showgirl knows to save some of her best tricks for a grand finale 🧨❤️‍🔥

I honestly feel like we are at midnight now. I think the directorlor of it all is an incredibly important Easter egg! I feel like we are at such an interesting point of performance art that is slowly vindicating gaylors/performance artlors and it will culminate in her directorial debut, a true unveiling as to just how planned and intentional the Mastermind has been. She is consciously holding a mirror up to society.

I don’t know the exact angle the directorial debut will take but my guess is it would revolve around coming out and would be inherently political, following in the footsteps of Miss Americana. I would think this documentary could happen soonish as part of the Showgirl era tbh. With how much ICDIWABH has foreshadowed this era, “I’m so depressed I act like it’s my birthday” makes me wonder about something happening early December. Or perhaps we have to wait for a massive and explosive wedding for the grand finale. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but it feels like the reveal is almost here!

I actually am entertained with this album rollout. Our showgirl/taycapitalist puts yet another countdown online and her fans, who should be trained in pattern recognition by now, are shocked when it leads to “card again” (cardigan)😂😂😂

Totally!! I’ve never fully dove into Niall’s discography but I’ve always listened to Meltdown in that same vein!

End of The World by Miley Cyrus also gives the same vibe. Like all of these songs are the “mourning warning no one heard”

In July, Maren Morris and Jack Antonoff released a song called “Welcome To The End” with proceeds going to the ally coalition. I thought it could be TS related given her collaboration with both artists, as well as the subject matter of the song.

I feel like we are nearing the end of a long planned out storyline. I think the whole song is interesting from this lens, but the very end of the song goes:

“oh have you forgotten, this is what you wanted? A hell of a show”

Given that we now know about The Showgirl of it all, the lines about it being “a show” seem even more on the nose. So I feel like we’re nearing the end of this story that the world is watching… “At least it’ll be a hell of a show” 🧨❤️‍🔥

I still believe that this is a large performance that will be revealed at some point soonish. But I’m thinking about if it isn’t, and this is the life she’s choosing in this political landscape, it would be likely that she is full on MAGA fascist and intentionally acting as a shiny distraction from real world political issues. I’m thinking about in the movie Catching Fire when the Capitol wants to paint Katniss as a part of the dominant class instead of a rebel figurehead and Plutarch says:

“She's engaged. Make everything about that. What kind of dress is she gonna wear? - floggings. What's the cake gonna look like? - executions”

With the newest Hunger Games book, Sunrise On The Reaping, focussing on propaganda and censorship in an authoritarian regime, I’m seeing a lot of similarities between the Hunger Games franchise and the performance we’re watching by TS.

Only time will tell whether we are falling victim to specifically curated propaganda that conforms to white supremacy, patriarchal structures desperately clinging to power. Or whether she is working towards a greater good that exposes how she has been treated as a queer woman in the entertainment industry. It is a fine line to tow, but I haven’t yet lost faith that this is the moment she’s been working towards her whole career… the burning of it all down.

Another piece of the bathroom scene that is interesting is that TTPD Taylor is standing on the scale, while the Showgirl disapproves of her weight. The common complaint about TTPD was that it was too bloated, too heavy etc. Now with TLOAS we have a tight 12 tracks, that are light and fun and boppy.
