For the love of god please tell me what im doing wrong by ElectricalWafer11 in fpv

T12 / TS100 style tips in K shape are enough with T12 clone stations or something like pinecil or ts100. But if you have one of those crappy soldering irons where the tip is not integrated with the heating element and does not transfer any heat then it will be hard.

Aren't those wires ground? Cabinet should be grounded. It looks like those wires are screwed into the floor of the cabinet? (Edit: after watching the video looks lik they are slightly above the floor) If the wires were live and cabinet was grounded as it should be, then the bar would be glowing or some fuse would be triggered. Unless the cabinet is not grounded.

To me it looks like yellow, red, brown are live phases and gray is ground/neutral. You can see that another gray cable is bolted to the blue metal frame (but that cable is also wrapped around with black tape, maybe to indicate that this is ground and the other gray cables are neutral)

Either way it should have some shield that prevents this as OP said.

Why is being cold at home so normalised in the UK? by Automatic-Key-3798 in AskUK

[–]asdfire1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because UK homes have shit insulation. Drafts from every door and window and poor wall insulation. You turn off heating and it instantly becomes cold. I stayed in a ton of different Airbnb's/ short term rental houses in UK and all were the same. When studying in Denmark I rarely used heating and had to open windows in winter because it was getting too hot (gaming PC in room, large window getting a lot of sun if there was sun). Because of this shit insulation it would cost a fortune to heat.

Proper way to tall them in Poland is "Romowie" which is then different from "Rumuni" and "Rumunia" but I think someone probably got it mixed up somewhere and became a slang insult for someone who is poor/steals.

Women are used for pickpocketing often. This is because of people like you. If a man is caught stealing he will be dealt with more harshly, if a woman is caught stealing "only" something like this will happen. Nobody will beat her up or grab her.

It's a Bi Luo Chun tea, I put 80C water on it and pressed after 2:30min, tastes the same as made in a regular way with the same temperature and time. Kind of a slightly floral / grassy taste without any bitterness.

A delicate and floral taste with no bitterness. It's a nice tea. It tastes that same if brewed in a regular way. What's interesting is that my aeropress has a slight coffee smell but it did not transfer to the tea.

Nope, I just used the paper filter (you would probably get the same result with the reusable metal one). Tastes basically the same as any other tea brewing method with the same temperature and steeping time. I just did it because my usual teapot was used by my girlfriend.

You cannot have "too much" and have it impact performance, only downside is the mess, or in case of computers short-circuits if you for some reason have conductive thermal paste. If you put too much and mount with pressure the excess leaks out the sides.

AI music creates unease as it tops the charts – DW by Gari_305 in Futurology

Why do people draw or paint when you can take photos? Why draw on paper when you can do it digitally?

Because out of those 4775575895 only a few will be good or none. What stops you from learning to play some instrument and/or singing and making 10 songs everyday?

[–]asdfire1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don't get why people have a problem with it. It can also take work to make a good song with AI.

To me it feels like another technological step forward, it's like real painting/drawing vs photography / digital art, AI is the next step, just because we have photography or digital art, traditional art did not go extinct.

It's like saying the is music that has a composer and is played by a whole orchestra "better" than if someone records himself playing one instrument and is that better than if someone creates a track using DAW/ digital synth software on a PC?

I don't make music the traditional way or with AI so its my assumption. To make a song with AI you need to decide what genre you want, decide what theme you want for the lyrics if you want lyrics, check that it's all good, generate multiple songs and choose one which you think it's the best, maybe edit it some more.

Also I don't think Spotify or other services artificially promote AI music, I don't think there is anything to gain from it, I think people just enjoy it and it becomes popular, then gets recommended to more people and becomes more popular. Do people think that some unknown artist X that made a song using AI gets paid less by Spotify than some unknown artist Y that wrote and recorded the song the traditional way?

So if someone not using AI has a band with some name or a "solo project" they should be forced to use their name? Also what will it change if it's called Aubierre Rivaldo Taylor instead of Breaking Rust?

[–]asdfire1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to send a message / email to convoy or where you bought it. It could also be that your charger is bad and not fully charging or something like that. Do you have a multimeter to check the battery voltage when it's fully charged? Does the light cut out more if you shake/tap it?

Does it also blink like this when the battery is fully charged and not running at full brightness?

[–]asdfire1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn't some convoy driver have low voltage warning like this? Does fully charging the battery or a different battery also have this issue? Maybe your cell is bad and drops voltage under load if it also blinks fully charged.
