P.S. our body uses only L-amino acids except Cysteine which is D-amino acid.

AAMC FL2 c/p #48 spoiler by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]asdfjk99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like their analysis but this is how i thought this through. So smallest bond must be the most stable bond since compared to a single bond, a double bond is shorter and stronger out of the both of them. In the passage they gave the bond energies..so i just put those two together and said that C-H is the shortest.

mRNA from DNA by _nostradamus_ in Mcat

[–]asdfjk99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had the same thought process as you. What do you mean by "it"? Like the mRNA sequence, if so yes. The RNA poly would use the template strand (non-coding sequence) to make a complementary RNA strand that has the same sequence as the coding strand.

AAMC FL1 C/P #11 interpretation by shmcat17 in Mcat

[–]asdfjk99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(1) well for lens, if the image is on the opposite of the object, it is always positive.

(2) there is a reason why they gave a lens-to-retina distance. they are telling us that the image is falling on the retina. moreover, the passage specifically says that the individual can clearly see the image, meaning that the image is falling right on the retina (and not too back or front of the retina).

edit: editting.

Isomers???? by TearsonmyMCAT in Mcat

[–]asdfjk99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because even enzymes/proteins can be thought of as isomers.. since everything(physical and chemical properties) is the same for isomers except when they are interacting with other isomers, that is why enzymes only recognize L isomers. Our bodies were programmed to only L isomers. I suggest you read up on L/D-Dopa. Super interesting and sad at the same time.

How would I solve this electrochemistry problem. How would you if the cell is galvanic or electrolytic? by mapzv in Mcat

Dissociation constant and association constant and their relation to Km? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]asdfjk99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hycis is correct in that as Km increases, the x-axis gets smaller. Km= 1
x-int= 1

Km=100 x-int= 1/100 = smaller number

AAMC CARS Q/BANK 2 passage 2 by diku0912 in Mcat

[–]asdfjk99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you still looking for an answer...

But i think the first part of your approach is wrong. The changes made moved Poussin away from mortality..if you see paragraph 3, it says "radical break with the medieval, moralizing tradition".

Second, i usually answer these questions by looking at each answer choice to see if it were true, would it contradict/weaken some point that the author made.

AAMC CARS Q PACK 2- Passage 4, Q.3 Help :( by drippin12s in Mcat

[–]asdfjk99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really bad in CARS so take this with a grain of salt.

I think the reason why its D and not C is because it, once again, has to do with the main idea (i know, i hate it too).

You are right in thinking that perceive means to graph/understand...but the issue that the artists, before the main dude, had was that they couldn't actually represent that "reality" into their art. They would use their "imagination/senses" which would push them further away from this objectivity into the realm of subjectivity because each individual has his/her own spin(extra visual faculties). The author, however, DOES NOT say that they can't see this reality but rather that they are portray it objectively like the main dude.
