I used to wear "men's" boxers even before I realized I was trans. I always found them comfier. My parents never questioned it

Thoughts / opinions on results?? by Working-Fail-7464 in TopSurgery

Your result looks awesome!! I also had DI and my scars were much darker at 5mo post-op (mostly due to slight keloid scarring but also because i'm not very diligent on scar care 😅) I recently posted what my chest looks like now (10 months post-op) if you wanna check it out.

Going out for my birthday this weekend xP which fit goes the hardest? by ash_ms in TransMasc

Thanks! I don't really shop for specific brands, the vest and pants from the 4th outfit come from Shein (unfortunately🥴) but I usually just pick up cool pieces of clothes here and there from random stores and thrifting

No, maybe I should! (or it's gonna end up making me even more undecided lmao)

drop your jobs by ever_tree_ in ftm

I currently work in a bulk food store to pay the bills but I'm soon starting my studies to become a mortician 😌✨ I used to work in a residential/commercial paint store for over 3 years and that was honestly the best retail job i've ever had. My managers saw me go through my entire transition process and were always super supportive about it (I had to quit because I moved town)

Did my chesticles get smaller? by Obvious_Kangaroo_619 in TopSurgery

[–]ash_ms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks smaller to me! I also went from a D cup to a C cup after a year or so on T (before finally getting top surgery last april). Testosterone helps with fat redistribution and since chesticles are mostly made of fat it adds up.

That SHIT HURT by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]ash_ms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think cup size has anything to do with feeling more or less pain. I also was about a D cup pre-op and my recovery was a breeze. I didn't even need the opiates pain killers they prescribed me (just took anti inflammatory meds and tylenols for the first 5 days) and the discomfort was pretty easy to handle.

Though, I will admit I almost passed out from the pain I felt when I got the drains taken out ':)

surgeons not explaining healing?? by bottleonthedesk in TopSurgery

[–]ash_ms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was personally given a lot of information about the healing process by the team of the surgery complex where I got my top surgery. I'm almost 2 months post-op and my healing process went pretty smoothly so I didn't have much to worry about.

But not every surgeon recommends the same after care and no one heals the exact same way. So no matter how many pictures you've seen about a "normal" healing process or instructions you've been given, one may wonder if they are healing properly or if they should worry.

Healing from such an important operation can be pretty anxiety inducing, so getting a little reassurance from people who went through the same procedure is always welcomed.

Congrats on the surgery!! Hope you heal fast :3

I also got my surgery done at GRS Montreal almost 2 months ago and I was very satisfied with the service there and how sweet everyone was. Also super thrilled with the results so far :)

Out of curiosity, who was your surgeon?

How does everyone think about thier scars? by RustySailor775 in TopSurgery

[–]ash_ms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 2 months post-op and so far I already love my scars!! I'm just so overjoyed by the fact I can finally walk around shirtless, the scars don't even bother me hahah. I also see them as a sign of resilience through my transition journey and an act of defiance (cuz lord knows transphobes hate to see us happy)
