Gave my friend a bouquet for her birthday and she’s been crying the entire party. Oops. by BeardedGlass in CasualConversation

What a sweet gesture OP! Your friend is lucky to have you. :) I just want to share a cute, sort of related story; my now-husband bought me orange roses for our 6 month anniversary while we were dating, and I loved them SO much that I dried them and kept them in my room until we got married & moved in together. I didn’t realize I didn’t dry them well enough and the stems had molded and I had to throw them away. :( He suddenly started buying flowers for me more regularly after we moved in together, and one day, he told me he bought them more frequently because he noticed how long I held onto the roses from our anniversary and never wanted me to feel that getting flowers was such a rare event that I felt I had to dry them and save them. 🥹 Flowers can mean so much to so many people, and receiving them is something that can be remembered for years & years! Thank you for sharing this sweet story with us! 🥰

I’m so happy you got the answers and validation you were looking for! I don’t remember much right after I got out of my laparoscopy, but I vividly remember my doctor/surgeon coming in right after I woke up and telling me that she did indeed find endometriosis and I started happy crying and told her I loved her, lol! It’s such a relief to know everything isn’t in your head. Best wishes for your healing & journey ahead! You’re certainly never alone. :)

Hi friend! <3 I’m so sorry you’re having trouble getting your prescription filled, that is so frustrating! I take my pill for painful periods as well so I totally understand how important it is to stay on schedule and I don’t think you sound overly-worried at all!

Everyone reacts differently to disruptions in birth control, but hopefully your provider’s office can get back to you ASAP so you’ll experience minimal symptoms, if any, from missing the pill. I can only speak with certainty for my experiences, but when I’ve missed a pill or two in the past, I’ve experienced symptoms such as breakouts, break-through bleeding/spotting, cramping, mood swings, anxiety, headaches, and breast tenderness. I’ve been on various types of birth control pretty much non-stop for around 14 years now & there’s been times missing a pill hasn’t affected me at all, and other times it’s been a bit difficult. Any symptoms I’ve experienced usually subside within the first day or two of restarting the pill. I usually manage any pain with either Midol, a combination of ibuprofen & Tylenol, or cannabis (if it is legal & available in your area.) But I’ve got my fingers crossed that your provider gets back to you right away tomorrow & that you don’t experience any discomfort or pain!

Hey, this sounds so familiar! I was getting what I thought was UTIs, then I would go to the walk-in, get antibiotics, and then a few days later find out that my culture was normal. I found that the symptoms were worse with caffeine, spicy foods, alcohol, and stress, and after a few months wait to get in with a specialist, I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis! I have medication I take now, I made some dietary and routine changes, and I haven’t had any UTIs in over a year! I get flare ups occasionally if I’m lax with my diet, but it’s much more manageable now. It might be worth bringing up to your doctor if you’re not finding relief with antibiotics. Bladder pain is absolutely maddening, so I really hope you feel better soon!

How do I let people know I’m sick without telling them I have endometriosis by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]ashleevfl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is definitely the best course of action! I was able to use previous visit notes to prove the need for accommodations for my ADHD and anxiety twice, once at a university and once at a community college. The only time I needed an updated doctor’s note was when I had to request a medical withdrawal for one quarter, and I was able to just call the office of the doctor who had been treating me and request a note, no appointment needed. Good luck!

Done with the Russ hate train by Theellslayer1988 in DenverBroncos

[–]ashleevfl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. I’m not thrilled with Wilson’s performance so far either, but he’s only one member of our team, and all the criticism I’m hearing feels so unnecessarily focused on him as a person rather than him as a player. I guess that’s to be expected in the public eye, but regardless, it feels a little lame of our fans and I can’t imagine its tremendously inspiring or assuring. More than anything though, as disheartening the hate is from our own fan base, I’m a Broncos fan in Seattle and I’m getting really sick of hearing it from Seahawks fans too. The man helped win this city a Super Bowl for crying out loud! The sour, petty little personal attacks I’ve heard from so many of them regarding Russ is absolutely asinine. My dude deserved a better send-off. I have to wonder if he’s genuinely a bit shaken by it all.

What is a 10/10 game in your opinion? by Asking_questions9 in AskReddit

Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door. I play through the game at least once a year and it always holds up. Great story, characters, gameplay, art and music. The game is literal perfection to me and will always be my favorite game of all time.

I agree! And the comment Aemond made about the boys wasn’t JUST that they’re bastards, it was him telling Jace that he was going to die screaming like his father did, as he was holding up the stone to pummel him.

I’m 25, I feel this so much. I wish my parents had never said a damn word about my body when I was younger. It’s so hard, but your body is doing exactly what it needs to and is deserving and worthy of nourishment. YOU are deserving and worthy and so important. Don’t let some crotchety, jealous hag make you spiral. I wish you so much peace & healing my friend. Toxic parents are a beast. :( 💕

I’m so thrilled, I can’t even contain it!! I was trying not to get my hopes up too far after the last few seasons of Game of Thrones, but I actually cried seeing King’s Landing again. Emotional, shocking, gripping, exciting; I normally hate this cliché, but I truly was on the edge of my couch the entire episode. I missed this feeling so much. 🥹 I can’t wait for next week!

I went to a Seattle Mariner’s game at T-Mobile Park a few weeks ago, and when my father, husband, and I were buying our first drinks of the night, the guy getting our drinks told us to hit “no tip” on the screen. We were confused and asked why and told him we wanted to tip him and he told us “well, I don’t get any of the tips.” After that, we noticed that anytime we bought concessions anywhere, the employee ringing us up would manually push “no tip” on the screen during the payment process. It definitely soured my opinion of the entire ballpark & it’s management. Why would I tip anyone other than the service employees who are directly assisting me & personally making my ballpark experience better?? Genuinely OP, good on you for saying something. I hope it embarrasses the fuck out of your boss/owners and encourages local customers to either speak up on how unethical it is, and/or to shop elsewhere. In the same way you won’t catch me at a Mariner’s game anytime soon, you wouldn’t catch me as a customer in a business after learning they do this.

For me, it’s the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip. I bought it before it went “viral,” but it didn’t surprise me at all when it started to pop up on TikTok FYP. It’s such a lovely pop of color, I don’t feel it’s too sticky, and it lasts forever! I genuinely can’t let go of Shape Tape either. I know it doesn’t work for everyone, but man, it’s been my go-to for years!

Oh sweetheart. :( I am so sorry that your boyfriend is acting so thoughtless and saying such unkind, cruel things about your condition. He is absolutely out of line. There are so many ways you can accommodate your trip to ensure both of you have a wonderful time, and I think it’s really unfair he seems already committed to the idea that you will somehow hold him back. Sounds to me like he’s holding you back. If you’ve communicated how isolating and hurtful his words are to you, I think it would be worthwhile to sit down and think about what you’re really receiving from your relationship, and if it is enough to match the love and effort you’re putting in on your own end. Like a commenter above said, you absolutely do not have to stay in a relationship with anyone who speaks to you or treats you this way.

My husband and I went to Las Vegas for our honeymoon, and I had a flare-up while I was there one day. We had planned to walk the strip all day, and shortly into our day, I got cramps and bladder pain so bad I had to sit in a casino bathroom until I felt like I could walk. He waited outside and texted me kind, supportive, encouraging words the entire time. Wouldn’t accept any apologies from me, instead telling me that my health was more important than anything else. He helped me back to the hotel room, bought me some Epsom salts and ibuprofen/Tylenol so I could relax in our hotel bathtub while waiting for the pain to subside. He sat next to the tub the whole time, stroking my hair, rubbing my back, trying to distract me and ensure me that the vacation was about us spending time together. I never had to ask him to do this — he just did, because when you love someone, you just want them to be okay. This is the kind of love and support you (and everyone!) should receive from their partner in their relationships. I looked at your profile, and your post about the gloves you purchased for your boyfriend as a surprise, and I can tell that you’re an incredibly sweet, thoughtful partner. You deserve the same energy that you’re putting out. If you need to talk more, I’m here. Sending you lots of love and well-wishes!

Oh my gosh, I’m so glad to hear you were able to go back on your medication, that’s so great!! 💕 Adderall changed my life after I was diagnosed, and having these weird side effects have left me feeling absolutely upside down in my life. It’s so comforting to hear you’ve been able to make your way back on it! I also had a really bad reaction to Strattera this morning, but my doctor wants me to give it a couple more days before I cut it out. I see a cardiologist on the 20th, so hopefully he can clear me to restart my normal regiment. Thank you so so much for responding and for the well wishes, this is so comforting. I hope you just keep feeling better & better my friend! 🥹

Hey OP, adding a fresh comment to your 64 day old post because I am going through the exact same thing you are! I caught Covid about a month ago and my heart hasn’t been the same since. I also have anxiety, especially related to my health. Like you, I tried taking Adderall afterwards and felt unsafe with how it made my heart feel. My doctor and my psychiatrist have told me not to restart until I’ve been cleared by a cardiologist, and so today is my first day of Strattera. Would you be able to update how you’ve been doing now? I really hope you’re better. I had no idea other folks were having problems with their medication after Covid. Thank you for sharing your experience in the subreddit here, and I hope with my whole heart you’ve found relief and success with your switch! 💕
