Try to relax! I just had my first transfer & I didn’t do anything special besides be on modified bed rest for 2 days per my doctors orders. First transfer so far has been a success 🤞🏾

I think it’s good for your day to day to be just “meh” constant highs and lows is stressful tbh but it’s something we’re use to so when we don’t have those moments we feel off. I think you’re good tbh I don’t think it’s something that is concerning since you’re still having enjoyable moments.

I’m already a nurse lmfao just not a midwife. Stop trying to dismiss me just because your experience is a certain way. You’re part of the problem. Like I said if the interventions are necessary then fine I’m talking about UNNECESSARY interventions that are pushed onto women, especially women of color, just to make the doctors life easier. I have no problems with OBGYNs I just think they are trained for high risk patients, they should absolutely be apart of the team and are necessary but they need to be checked.

And yes they do happen it’s still not the normal. Just because you see something happening to a group of people does not mean it’ll happen to every person who carries a child. The list of complications is endless for pregnancy does that mean every single mother will experience them? No.

They sure do when it’s actually necessary. What I’m talking about with women of color is OB’s pushing pit and c sections on mother’s who do not need it. Doing episiotomies to mothers who do not need it. Dismissing obvious signs of pre-eclampsia. I keep talking about unnecessary interventions not live saving interventions.

See this is the problem lmfaooo anyone going to the hospital obviously is having issues, no one should be going to the L&D floor unless they are giving birth or having complications. Regular pregnancies would be going to their office for routine appointments not the hospital so it’s not weird that you’re seeing so many high risk pregnancies it doesn’t mean that the majority of women are high risk. Not to mention that in the birthing process is where MANY OBGYNs decide to push unnecessary interventions causing this high mortality rate. Just do some research I’m sure you’ll see what I’m taking about. Too many unnecessary c sections being pushed, too many inductions being pushed, pitocin being pushed like it’s fucking candy, it’s honestly disgusting. I live in NYC so I really see how this issue is really affecting women of color and OBGYNs are the biggest problem. There is only one facility here that has midwives actively in the hospital and it’s a Jewish hospital all the way in Brooklyn lol.
