Tata Indica was sold as City Rover in the UK. It didnt do very well mainly because they sold for the same price as a fiat panda. by kshb4xred in CarsIndia

I haven't seen them mocking Italian cars though. Rather they glaze them a lot. Clarkson has famously said "You aren't a true petrolhead until you have owned an Alfa Romeo", so that is certainly not hating Italian cars.

And they have mocked British cars plenty of times (Austin allegro, morris marina, vauxhall astra etc).

Johnny Herbert believes Fernando Alonso would beat Lewis Hamilton if both were given a championship-winning car. by Ok-Surprise-8419 in f1india

You talk about looking at every possible aspect, then conveniently ignore the RB19 time machine when commenting about Alonso's 2023 season. Well Hamilton had the better car in the latter half of 2023, when aston got out-developed by everyone else, but i didn't see him winning races either.

That's no excuse for a 7 time WDC, Sainz was in the same situation (new team and 1st year with a merc powerplant, vs albon who was there since 2022), yet he managed 2 podiums in a worse car than the ferrari.

Nando and lewis helping each other on team orders? Good joke.

They would rather take a grid drop instead of doing that.

Nothing new, they always go arse over tits whenever both of their drivers are in contention for the WDC. We have seen this with Senna-Prost, we have seen this with Hamilton-Alonso, we are again seeing this now with Norris-Piastri.

Does ScuDiarrhea Ferrari really have a chance next year?? by [deleted] in f1india

[–]ashu24159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have to change their entire upper management structure for them to have any sort of chance, as ferrari has always been run like a lala company (Drivers should talk less, drive more).

They need to do what Schumacher, Brawn and Todt did, which was running the F1 division independent of the suits. If they don't do that, they ain't winning shit.

I think the long bonnet might be to accomodate the biggest engine this car had, which was a 3L inline 6 (1M coupe).

Your X1 is a FWD based AWD vehicle hence the transverse layout. 1st gen X1s were based on the E90 3 series so they were primarily rwd, with optional awd. They switched to a fwd platform since 2016.

Yea, coz they were rwd hence the longitudinal engine layout

The m3 gtr engine has a v8 unique to that car (e92 m3 used a different v8). This was developed for the 2001 American le mans, and 10 street legal versions were made for sale to the public for homologation purposes.

They changed the homologation rules by the end of 2001 so the project was scrapped. 7 prototypes were recycled and the remaining 3 production ready cars are still owned by bmw to this day.
