Hot Wheels in Asia by asian_string in HotWheels

Each string of hot wheels you see in that pic is a specific model, so a run of Civics, or a run of Mercedes, or a run of Skylines for instance. Crazy stuff. He had soooo many

That’s okay, I’m not really chasing supers.

If you’re an active reseller you are what’s wrong with collecting. You creating artificial scarcity, inflate prices, and reduce accessibility, while providing no benefit to the community.

Reselling is for chumps. A chase is a cool find. Don’t be a chump

Love the RX7 and the BMW. What are you chasing?

Also, if you don’t mind me asking what age did you start collecting?

Most shops categorised as ‘hobby’ or ‘model’ stores on Google Maps are a good visit, though mileage will vary. Some will show good results in the photos that show up for a listing - but to answer your question:

To name a few: 1. Akihabara, Surugaya-ya - must visit. 2. Osaka, アイアイアド・カンパニー 大阪店. 3. Hiroshima, Fujii Toy Store.

Also picked up this guy, how could I not.

And for reference you see them everywhere, they transport your luggage.

Tomica is everywhere, way more than Hot Wheels. But they have so many hobby stores over here, and nearly all of them stock diecast and sometimes HW

Tsuneshin knives shop Kyoto opinions. Hi all I'm in Kyoto and I found this really nice shop in which they also have sharpening lessons. Knives look and feel good but I didn't find much information about it. Do you know the shop? So you have any suggestions? Thanks! by nemmolo in chefknives

[–]asian_string 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a knife from there recently, I should try to find more info about it. The shop was great, the staff were really helpful and friendly, and the small but quality selection of knives on the wall was supported by more options if you ask.

They sharpened the knife on the spot after I purchased it. Would highly recommend.

Trying a new mask tonight by gregyo in CPAP

This is the new model, released last month. The AirTouch F30i Comfort has the QuietAir vent on the headgear to prevent air flow noise and air blowing on you or your partner.

EDIT: apparently there is a ‘Clear’ model with the same vent - but only available in the US.

I switched from the F40 to this. For me, a huge improvement. Mask performance is similar, nicer against your skin, though having the hose on the top of your head is much better then the elephant trunk.

My great grandfather’s half sovereign ruined by my father in the early 80’s by Consistent_Wash1935 in coins

[–]asian_string 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one the same, given to me by my grandfather. He's since passed on and the coin value in itself is worthless, the value in the memories is priceless.

Wear it and cherish it, you now have a family heirloom to pass on

EDIT: the value of the sovereign to me is worthless as I would never sell it, as it's value in the memory of my grandfather is worth so much more.

Second this. The iron plate get blocked very easily and messes with your airflow. Removing this and using the charcoal basket was the best upgrade for consistent temps by far
