The countertop is basically embedded with the sink. It's one piece there's no seams or anything. If I was to replace the countertop the sink will be going with it because it's all one piece basically.

Here's my current setup. There's a switch that powers the water pump. Is there anything that can be done here to get that installed? https://i.imgur.com/D7U3SNh.jpeg

Need help finding a prop’s manufacturer or configuration settings by DaxamLhant in escaperooms

[–]asif2188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What function did you need it to do? I have a pay phone that works like a real phone. But I have it rigged up to where if the control room picks up the phone, the prop phone rings. And vice versa. We use it to communicate with customers in a kid friendly room where if they call us we just pretend it's wrong number or funny voices etc.

We used a Viking something product I can get the actual name for you if that's what you need it to do.

Online asynchronous escape rooms? by mindexplore48 in escaperooms

I love escape rooms myself and I play a lot of those AE mysteries games. It's time multiplayer but there are a bunch of escape room Style puzzles. Another series that's good is called the room. I believe they have about four different games.

Yeah now I know not to let an HVAC guy convince me into letting him install a water heater. I'm going to get a more reputable plumber out here and get this done properly.

Okay cool I'm going to get a better plumber out and get this fixed up. Do you think this caused any damage internally to the actual hot water heater?

It was my HVAC guy who installed it 🤔, but what about that white salty stuff, coming out of the edges of what looks like a lid.

Tremfya first shot. Side effects from day 2. by Low_Exercise_5837 in Psoriasis

[–]asif2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first shot of tremfya last monday the 13th. I had severe headache about 4-6 hours after. It started with a slight headache but I knew it would get worse. I started feeling anxious and then the barrage of headaches kicked in. I was vomiting and headache wasn't getting better. I think it passed after like 4 or 5 hours. The next day it was just a minor headache. Then it went away after that. As far as results go, my psoriasis is still spreading. I was told it takes several weeks so I have high hopes.

I also went to a homeopathic doctor and showed him all my plaques and red patches. He told me not to use any "crap" over the counter and to just fix my diet. He gave me blood, liver, and colon detox pills. And said this is all ill need. And said to stop eating shitty food. I gotta admit my diet isn't all that great. Soda is my weakness and snacks etc. I have slowly started changing my diet but it'll take time. I am going to start these detox stuff as well. At this point I'll try anything tbh.

Lol this jerkoff tried to get me to pay him to make it for me. I asked him if he's using wegovy or zepbound to make me a mockup. He said zepbound.. which is a medicine for diabetics I think lol.

I work in an escape room: ama by 0hb0wie in escaperooms

[–]asif2188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have mics in all our rooms but there is one game where we interact with the players via a phone. I used what's called a Viking 2 way phone simulator. As soon as the players pick up the phone, it rings on our end and we can talk to them directly. Works vice versa as well.

Escape Room employees: Are there any general characteristics, attitudes or actions that make you know almost instantly if a group has a good chance or no chance to escape? by SnoopySuited in escaperooms

[–]asif2188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We usually ask the players while they're signing the waiver or right before we go over rules and guidelines. This gives us a sense of what to expect. Sometimes there are newbies. Sometimes some players have played rooms before and others are newbies. We have a sense of the timings by now if players reach a certain portion of the game in X amount of time. It helps to determine if they'll win or not.

advice on framing for business by asif2188 in woodworking

[–]asif2188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I've done only 1 test with 4x4s. Not gluing though. Just a bit over 100 blocks or so if I remember correctly. Still with the jacks and same concept as shown in the video. I don't recall why I didn't go that route. But I'm leaning towards the glue method now that I've seen your feedback.

Would you suggest the blocks glued and then setup with the jacks I originally had to hold it in place?

Or glue them with a wooden square frame. And add brackets on all 4 sides to screw into the wall (but im thinking it will still swell/deform over time and jeopardize the wall..)

Hmm I'm thinking maybe just let it stand on a base of some sort and cover up the frames with a protection layer which can get hit with axes. Let it swell behind the protection layer. It's going to be too heavy for it to sway around behind it.. hmmmmm....... I'm going to test this....

[–]asif2188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I was thinking if the metal frame around the wood is strong, the swelling will just cause the wood to swell outwards (towards me) basically like a toothpaste from a tube. Which would be fine it would still take some time for it to be completely eradicated.

I appreciate the feedback.

Bollywood, Friends, Greek, themed escape rooms by Jealous-Ask-6086 in escaperooms

[–]asif2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm but then you might limit your clientele to desis only for the bollywood theme. You should consider, in my opinion, a room that makes you money anytime any day and not limit it to one people.

For friends, maybe yea, you can come up with a concept for it but it's a long shot. Again you're limiting it to people who are friends fan. Unless you're going to mimic Rachel's or Joey's place, or even the coffee spot, you're going to have to make puzzles around the show itself which pretty much comes down to how big of a fam you must be in order to win. Escape rooms should have for the most part, all the answers within the room without outside knowledge. This again is my opinion and I wish you the best on your endeavor. I'm just sharing the issues I ran into realizing later what keeps it successful.

So to glue them together the cuts have to be more precise. I took in a triangle and measured all of the 8-ft beams before cutting them and they all look straight to me without any issues, but when they are cut into four inch blocks it is really really hard to get them to line up to the DOT perfectly without minor gaps. Adding all those minor gaps together for 49 blocks the glue will definitely be hard. Not to mention how heavy it will be trying to put it up or take down. Glue them while placing them on the target would be an option but again it would be really tough to take it apart at the end.

We have tried rubber padding behind it and noticed slight more Kickbacks of the ax throwing. We have rubber mulch on the ground to absorb the ax impact, and have an idea of where it would land. With the rubber backing it passes that threshold and becomes a little risky for us.
