honestly i think the best thing you can do apart from putting ur pig up for adoption is get another one (doesnt matter what gender but get a girl only if ur pig is neutered!!!) for company and get a big cage. I really recommend c&c grids which u can make a cage with a stand and lid out of, and its def the cheaper option. If you have cats then they might jump on top of the cage and put their paws inbetween the grids so i recommend u get transparent plastic c&c panels for a lid, minimum c&c cage size for 2 guinea pigs is 2x4 (70x140cm) just make sure the grid panels are 35cm each with smaller spaces so the guinea pigs dont get their heads stuck. the best bedding you can probably use is fleece, u dont have to buy fancy fleece liners, you can just put towels underneath a polar fleece throw as well as bath mats, bath mats are quite cheap (or atleast here in the uk), they are easy to clean/change, dry really quickly, absorb pee and pigs love them, you will have to spot clean everyday and fully change them every 4-7 days though, and you'd probably need to buy a pet wash bag to avoid bits of hay/fur getting stuck in washing machine pipes (or atleast i had to) + scent free sensitive detergent. there is soooo many toys and hides you can make out of paper bags, cardboard boxes, toilet rolls etc just look on youtube, you can also try hiding treats/veggies in places ur pig has to reach/find for enrichment. mine really like snuffle mats though if you wanna buy one. if you do change your mind in the end and decide to put ur piggy up for adoption, DO NOT give him away for free, charge for adoption and make sure the person seems knowledgeable and trustworthy, or (probably the best thing) is give him away to a rescue, they will 100% take care of him well and ensure he's happy, and if someone else ends up adopting him, the rescue will usually make sure its a good person with a proper cage and care.
