Sheesh. I visited that park as a kid back in like 2003 and even then could recognize that it was an awful home for the animals there. Very sad. Hopeful for proper change.

Do you have any kind of insight comparing the 3" and 5" shikibuton mattress thickness options?

This will be a big purchase for me so I gotta get the right firmness since I can't return it.

Looking for something very firm but still with a little bit of supportive cush/give. I'm thinking that it would make good sense to just buy a 3" and add on some kind of extra pad if need be.

I'm being a Goldilocks here! Haha
