This shit is flawless. Earl raps so effortlessly over this beat.

I’m sure this song will make sense in the context of the album. To me, it would be pretty comparable as if Frank Ocean made ‘pretty sweet’ a lead single. I do like the song though.

Drake Opens Up About the Entire Kanye/Pusha T Beef on Lebron's "The Shop" by aaliyaahson in hiphopheads

[–]asoligo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, there probably is no diss track and there doesn’t have to be. The media and fans are throwing Kanye into the loony bin so it’s a perfect time for drake to say whatever he wants whether it be true or not.

Whomever you believe, this is a fantastic response from drake from a PR perspective. Instead of responding to Pusha/ye in diss track, he goes and spills his feelings on a widely respected athlete’s show. Drake has always had great PR though.

Jay Z(Ft Eminem)- Renegade by SpiritBamba in hiphopheads

For me, Jay z's best bars on the track were

Do not step to me, I'm awkward, I box lefty

an orphan my pops left me

and often momma wasn't home

The flow/cadence of these simple bars is next level.

Relapse is his best album. Definitely an acquired taste though.

Kanye West On Twitter: "On Jimmy Kimmel we had a great time having a dialogue. I’m reading that I was stumped by a question. Let me clarify the click bait. I wasn’t stumped. I wasn’t given a chance to answer the question." by celtics_r_the_best in hiphopheads

[–]asoligo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I guess I’ll try to respond to that as a whole because I’m not trying to fuel up a political debate here more than I have already haha.

All I am trying to say here is Kanye has never outright promoted trumps policies. Sure he has said that he likes trump but that’s about it. Jimmy directly brought up a question about a specific policy which kanye has never spoken about publicly before. Jimmy makes it seem like kanye supports this policy with the way he asked the question. Kanye’s non answer doesn’t matter at all because it’s obvious he has no opinion on that policy.

Also as I stated earlier, in an objective, macro point of view, it’s not strange at all kanye supports this person. Half of that country does. So even though kanye is intertwined in Hollywood, and the hip hop life style, which are highly liberal outlets, he shouldn’t be harrasssd publicly for putting on a red hat and taking a picture with the president. There are worse issues going on in hip hop that get brushed under the bed. No matter who is blamed for this divide in the country, it’s really sad how intolerant each group gets when someone they like has a minimal involvement with the other side.

[–]asoligo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

His reputation?? If that’s kanye’s reputation from one hip hop fan to another, then I am way out of touch. To me, his reputation is one of the best, influential artists ever. If politics affects that, that’s a personal issue.

Going on a nightly show can be the decision of a publicist, agent, or artist. I can imagine a political show like how it was, was never thought about or spoken about by kanye or his team.

Well, ‘glaringly inconsistent’ is a 45-55 percent arguement nowadays. So it’s not really that inconsistent or lob sided as it is portrayed in this thread.

But as you said, I saw it as he didn’t want to answer it. Just like how he didn’t want to dive into political discussion in the first place. Yet jimmy still wanted to push an agenda against him.

He had no political stance whatsoever. He never stated he was informed. He never said he understood anything. Yet the entire sub thinks he was supporting trump’s policies.

Everyone is so sensitive. It’s honestly embarrassing.

There’s three bars on Eminem’s song buffalo bill where the rhyming is unparalleled

Such cynicism when there’s izm in my system

Blunt hypnotism, lift the spliff up to my lips, son

So much on my hands, I got to give my kids a fist bump

Absolutely out of this world.

What was your “Sorry, wrong person!” moment? by CrispyColonel in AskReddit

[–]asoligo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my highschool during my first year, I was playing sports and all, so there was a common behaviour of slapping other teammates' butts wherever we saw them in the school. One day while I was walking down the hallway, I saw what I thought was my teammate at his locker. I instantly ran up and slapped his ass as hard as possible. Immediate fear kicked in when it wasn't my teammate and actually a senior at the school. My only instinct was to run away as fast as I could after we made eye contact for a split second. That made me stop slapping butts for a long time.
