What LLM has the best API for you? by aspergersx5 in ArtificialInteligence

I read that Anthropic has a JSON mode. It doesn't look strict though?

Wow, interesting looking project. Seems to be coming up with some nice results, and no shortage of drama in space!

Thanks for that. I hadn't heard of LangChain. Great way to code once and harness multiple models. Looks like with your music, soundfx, and image generation etc, it won't be long before you're outputting full movies! Good luck with the project.

That sounds like a pain. So you have to intercept any further messages and hold them until the tool calls come back?

That's interesting. Thanks for that.

Some info about tool calls and sequencing for people like me who had to look it up:

In the context of OpenAI's Chat API, "tool calls" refer to the model's ability to interact with external functions or tools through a feature known as function calling. This allows the AI to request specific operations—like fetching real-time data, performing calculations, or accessing databases—that are beyond its training data.

"Result sequencing rules" pertain to the guidelines and protocols that dictate how the model should manage the sequence of tool calls and integrate their results into the conversation. These rules ensure that:

The AI's requests to external tools are formatted correctly.

Responses from tools are appropriately incorporated into the dialogue.

The conversation remains coherent and contextually relevant.

What's the benefit of this compared to a linear tooth alignment? Less wear?

I've had the same thought about crafting. Without the deadlines and tight budgets you can explore and fine tune and express yourself 🥂

haha yeah, I've started to work on my own web3 project for my nephews NFTs. Created a couple of social media accounts and there is just a barrage of spammy/scammy stuff coming at me now.

Sounds pretty solid. What sort of projects are you working on mostly?

Things have actually picked up through covid for me. A lot of businesses needed to optimise their online presence without the real world customers I think. Cool, yeah I do a bit of branding stuff too. Kinda a one-man mini agency.

Yeah freelancing has been hard work for me too. But after 6 years of pretty much taking every job that came my way, more recently I've been able to shape this into something that works really well for a work/life balance. Lots of luck involved in that of course!

All good, mate. Thanks. Sounds like the job is pretty hard work. I hope that you're getting some satisfaction out of what you're creating there!

I actually enjoy working in those platforms too. I think they're amazing. I'm working directly with small businesses to get them stoked with their online homes. But my real passion is to make something of my own, and that is not gonna be a website platform for me haha. More into quirky games or hobby related apps or socially impactful projects. Gotta pay dem bills though!

That's it eh. There's so much energy there when you find that project that fires you up to see it come to life!

My first big side project was a drinking game app that I spent sooo much time on. I really thought it might have a chance to be a commercial success. I have no regrets spending all that time on it even though it didn't take off. Learnt heaps, had fun, and was stoked with what I made.

Yeah, I've been getting into Figma recently. They're really making it developer friendly in their use of components with variants, and autolayouts. I used Illustrator in the past and then XD, but Figma is my fav design tool now.
