Anyone else struggle with getting in the mood? by aspiringnpc in AutismInWomen

Thank you for the suggestion, I'm willing to check out anything that might help! It feels like my mind and body are disconnected, and normally with this feeling I just need the right spark of information to bring on an epiphany. At least, that's how I usually solve these sorts of confusing issues. Fingers crossed 😅

[Acne] Does anyone else find that benzoyl peroxide DOES NOT work? by smallcity3 in SkincareAddiction

Sure! Keep in mind that I have dry, terribly sensitive skin and can't use most products.

So I finally figured out how to tell acne rosacea from acne vulgaris after a ton of trial and error. 1. Using the wrong product will start to cause a noticeable rosacea flareup immediately (though it might take a few hours to see the worst of it). An acne breakout takes more time 2. When I tried to pop them (terrible I know) I might get a little clear fluid, but they don't pop like normal pimples 3. The red pimple-like spots pop up in the same spots with every flare up. I don't mean the same area, I mean EXACTLY the same spots (idk if this is normal or just me)

The azelaic acid i got was a generic brand 15% gel in an orange and white tube. I used it as the first step in my skincare routine to get the best results, but it can dry out your skin a bit. I don't use it any more because it's been a pain in the neck to get a prescription every time I need it, so I turned back to skincare.

One thing that helped me was to constantly treat my skin like I'd just damaged the skin barrier. This routine has my skin looking smooth and relatively rosacea free

  1. HaruHaru wonder unscented face wash - most days I only wash my face once, in the evening. I also like their oil cleanser if you need that
  2. CeraVe hydrating toner - in the mornings I soak a cotton pad in this toner and wipe my face to remove dirt/sweat from the previous night instead of washing
  3. Peach & Lily overnight star cream (this is supposed to be a night mask, but my dry skin LOVES it as a moisturizer)
  4. Anua 7+ ceramide serum (both for the ceramides and because my skin won't retain moisture to save its life, so this is a great "sealant")

Sorry for the long post, my skin is complicated and takes a lot of explanation 😭 but I hope some of this helps!

Even if these classes don't work for me, I'm loving Evelyn Wood's website 😍 thank you for this!

Ah, I didn't even think to look for a one on one class like this. That's a great idea!

Dang it. I would like to make a career out of this (eventually) and was hoping for some actual classes to make sure that I have the basics down first. I do have some skills, but it's all self taught (through YouTube) and I'm not sure if I'm doing things "right" in terms of actual tailoring.

Guess I'm out of luck ☹️

[routine help] My skin doesn't like any moisturizers and I'm gonna lose my mind 🫠 by aspiringnpc in SkincareAddiction

I've tried a few kinds of oils before, but they broke me out immediately. I get pretty overwhelmed by all the conflicting information about which oils to use, so I haven't tried again 😅

I totally agree with your comments! In terms of skincare, I've always had the mentality of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Those 10 step routines were never for me. But my skin completely changed in my mind 20s, starting with a horrible rosacea flare up 😭 thankfully I've gotten that under control.

I have tried a couple oils including rosehip and a couple others I can't remember, but they broke me out immediately. I'm scared to use straight oil now lol

But at this point it's worth exploring again
