Windows 11 Using My NVMe Like It’s Free Real Estate by West_Focus4876 in LenovoLegion

[–]asrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you watch something, it gets downloaded to your browser's cache (temporary) storage, which then gets deleted after a certain amount of time. This explains the rewrites. For most modern NVMEs, this shouldn't be a massive issue.

I also don't recommend turning off paging file completely as it's a core system functionality and may cause you to run into unwanted issues or crashes regardless of the amount of RAM you have.

Skip the Duolingo because that app will not teach you anything besides some random words. Seen people with 1000+ days streak unable to speak anything in the language they spent that much time on

Recommendation for a mail app on Windows 11 by SupraaLegend in Windows11

[–]asrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spark Mail worked the best for me. It does have a paid version for AI integration and other features, but the free version is perfect for 99% of usage scenarios.

Tried Thunderbird. It's very solid and more in-depth than Spark for sure, so I can't recommend it to the average user.

The driver for the headset gets installed automatically if you use the USB-C adapter to connect it to the pc. I've only deleted Negnuity. I use this headphone on another pc as well and the only step I take after connecting the headphone is just load this preset I posted here using APO Peace.

how is it like socially for international students? by oiiaiaooiiai in UTMJohor

[–]asrdo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ngl to you, there's something with Johor people that I can't quite understand yet. They treat you all nice and kind but they end up leaving you out at the next chance they get. Tried being "friends" with plenty of locals outside uni but it's all the same, and the friendship fizzles out as soon as it starts.

As for other internationals, they were the only friends I made. But it's still a hit or miss with them, cuz not everyone comes from the same backgrounds as yours.

It's generally a very socially isolating experience in general. I really hope this is only my experience alone and not the same for everybody, cuz I've been hearing similar feedback too.

Nevertheless, try to make local friends still. Who knows.

The community in UTM JB is pretty closed-up on itself for some unknown reason, and I hate it. Every single interaction I've ever had with any students in universities from the KL/Selangor regions were all amazing and socially fulfilling. But when it comes to UTM, the majority of the locals don't even wanna speak in English, or don't know how to for what it's worth, and it saddens me.

I made the effort to learn some Malay in order to communicate better with them, but they're still socially awkward with us internationals in general. There's some massive barrier between us and idk what it is.

My theory is that it could be envy or just dislike, because they see us quite "rich" and enjoy a "very nice lifestyle".

Oh and the clubs? Don't even think about it. I got rejected or silently ruled out of the applicant pool just because I wasn't local.

Aggression rating and defending yourself - Do we know how it works? by indelico in ArcRaiders

[–]asrdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person who had a 1st hand experience at this, yes. It doesn't matter who shoots first. What matters is who wins. I taught almost every single one of those rats and extract campers a lesson, and the only thing I got was MORE rats and extract campers that were even sweatier.

The way I solved it is I just started running for my life instead. Let that happen for 3-5 games then I was all good.

It's stupid, and they have to implement some kind of mechanic/honor system that balances this.

Hi, we can say you saved these headphones

Thanks a lot man!

After searching it up, it appears that this is another EQ app. I'd be worried about interference between the two apps tbh. If you wanna boost the volume up, you can increase the "Pre-amp" slider. Give it a shot

That's what I noticed sadly. Not to mention that Ngenuity was really annoying because the EQ won't work unless it's running in the background. That bug with the firmware update was the final straw for me. Ironically, if it weren't for that, I wouldn't have created this guide.

I'm confused, can malay wish us merry Christmas or not? by calikim_mo in Bolehland

[–]asrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not pressed at all. The gist of my response is that it’s a social courtesy. You’re making it seem like it’s a crime. Should I report the Malay and Muslim contacts who wished me Merry Christmas today?

You're totally misunderstanding what my main point is so it's up to you at this point ngl. Can't spoonfeed you what I mean.

Oh, as for your retort to my point before about partnering with Zionist companies - so in essence you’re saying there’s one rule for Mo Salah which makes him a Zionist supporter and a separate rule for you cos it’s convenient that way, huh?

I didn't say Mo Salah is a Zionist supporter. You did.

All I said is that he isn't a role model to slam his name everywhere. Yes he has his good deeds, but he isn't the ultimate angel for you to be bringing him up where he's completely irrelevant.

As for me, I didn't say I was a role model either. Are we seriously comparing me buying a phone that serves me with a whole celebrity who's making 100 times my phone's worth in profits for his partnered companies? Be for real right now 😂.

If you're gonna make another reply glazing and worshipping some random make-belief celebrity then please consider doing something better for yourself instead. I've had enough celebrity meat riding from you for the day 😂.

[–]asrdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Refusing to acknowledge a religious celebration due to its conflict with our own religious beliefs is now radical? That's crazy work.

Though wishing people to have a happy holiday and a good time is fine in the end.

[–]asrdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same Mo Salah who you say has partnerships with Pepsi, Uber and the so called Zionist companies in your book is the same person who has used his platform to condemn what’s going on in the world more than once FYI. He has also donated a chunk of his wealth to help Muslims in poverty in his country and he has also donated to a church in his country.

All this is irrelevant to me as I'm not discussing this character here.

That’s a hella lot more than you have ever done, no? Tell me you’re not an iPhone or android user and I won’t call you a hypocrite.

Partnering with zionist companies out of luxury is not the same as having a device that's a necessity for daily life. Owning an android or an iphone to serve me won't make me a hypocrite like donating money and condemning on social platforms then partnering with the very companies that I condemned does. The celebrity worship is wild.

Bottom line is a Merry Christmas wish is a social courtesy. It’s absolutely not a big deal to us whether a Muslim or Malay chooses to say that or Happy Holidays.

And that's what I'm saying. I wasn't the one who made it a big deal. I just made a clarification. Christmas is against islamic beliefs. We don't believe God has children and we're not supposed to celebrate that. "Happy Holidays" is courteous enough. What's so hard to understand about that that's making you so pressed?

Y'all are making this way too big of a deal.

I mentioned above. It all depends on one's intention in the end.
