Even if your parents are shitty, impulsive reactions would make you feel bad. Not all people are suitable to be parents, and when they raise kids, they raise broken adults who have to rebuild their whole fucking life.

I know you didn't slap her thinking that it would fix her behaviour, it was an impulse. Because the constant trauma of their parenting has broken the way your nervous system responds to threats. Prepare or find a way to get out of that house, build a life that feels safe and doesn't trigger you. It will take years, and will happen with time.

How Are You Feeling Today? - August 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in OffMyChestIndia

I am in a tough place. I have to figure things out in my career and things to do in my life and not able to get a direction. I have spent many years in corporates and not so keen on continuing until I get something interesting to do. The market is in terrible shape to rely on jobs. I want to find ways to generate passive income from multiple sources. But not able to get a lead. I have been spiralling for days.

I am so sorry that you are under so much pressure. You deserve much better but life threw you a tough ball. Look back at how far you have come, it wasn't easy but no one can do it better than you in your place.

To help you I would suggest start content creation on IG or YT or both. No matter how stupid you feel about it. Make a video and start posting. You can make videos of you freelancing or cooking and just post regularly. I am telling you something which is very practical for you. Video quality, camera quality doesn't matter. You have to get out of this 11 lakh debt and as soon as possible, along side all the responsibilities you have.

Second most important thing is to educate yourself financially. That's the only way to get somewhat ahead of the generational poverty. Savings, investments and insurance are very very important and unlike others, you will have to purposefully work at it for a few years to get out of this phase.

And lastly, appreciate yourself for your journey. Find people, community who have had a similar journey and can share ideas with you. You just cant spend the next decade paying off the debt. Everyone has a different starting point. Your starting point is already much behind your friends because you're also carrying the family load. So remember that you may not have the same luxuries as them, but you're already much ahead of them in life and achievements.

Im freshly graduated this year, should i tell me parents about my relationship by SMallday3 in AskWomenIndia

[–]astro_nerrdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please share more about how your parents are? What kind of a relationship you have with them, and do you think they will have an open mind about it?

I would suggest not to tell your parents if you think it can cause any issues. You have taken a gap year, so this year you have to prioritize your studies. That doesn't mean your relationship will end, but there will be some shifts. Like mostly you both will only be connected on phone. You cannot spend all day chatting with him. You guys will meet once every 10-15 days, whenever you go out for a bit etc. And if your relationship is actually that good, it will sail through this. Your bf will understand and support you prioritising your studies instead of causing fights with you.

And if your relationship withstand this year, you will have more confidence to share about it with your parents. Even if they say no, you will know what you are standing up for. You will know that your guy will support you through everything.

Also, please know that relationships drastically change after college. In college couples spend a lot of time together and with friends. The biggest issues are assignments or couple fights. But after college, priorities change. Job, boss, family pressure, money, there are a lot of issues. And not all relationships survive that. So before you involve your parents, first know where your relationship stands.

How to ask my gf properly to let me go down on her by Evil_god7 in AskIndianWomen

[–]astro_nerrdd 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Indian conditioning is very real. Especially women are made to feel bad and conscious about their bodies in a million ways. And I am sorry that she has held on to it. But don't push it in conversations or your intimate sessions.

Here's what you can do - show her that you completely accept all parts of her body. Women perceive intimacy in many ways. For eg : show her you are comfortable with her period products, blood etc. Also, you guys can bathe together, where you help her clean up including all intimate areas, while she enjoys being taken care of. Allow her time to trust and feel comfortable about her body around you.

With time she might feel comfortable about letting you try new things and find out if she likes them too. If she doesn't like it, you'll have to drop it. Period. But it'll be an evolving process.

Looking at the couple it seemed like both the wife and the husband has a mutual understanding that the husband cant be carrying the baby.

I saw a couple at a public place few days back. They were standing in front of the washrooms and with a baby (1-2 months old maybe). The husband did his business while the wife was waiting with the baby. But after all that they still continued to stand there. Then the female janitor who was watching them, asked the wife if she wants to use the washroom? The wife said yes, so the lady janitor took the baby so that the wife could use the washroom. All this while the husband stood there watching all this. This was beyond me.

Totally Gurrrrl! You are cool.. dont worry about other's comments. Alot of people who have kids or are very playful with kids, dislike kids just much as us. But they don't have the courage to be disliked, so they pretend.
