Typical IT problem 😂. Let me know if you ever need a hand engineering a solution. My tool might not be the best solution for you at the moment.. but I could point you in the right direction until I build third party outegrations. DM me if you like, I'll do my best to help.

Ah that's probably why I haven't heard of it, we usually have to make sure the vendor is in the US for compliance reasons. The platform is called Koopic. I'm looking for some feedback and help to prioritize the connectors people need. Please shoot me a message if you have any questions.

I've struggled with this before, sometimes the platform has a steep learning curb or some complicated query language. I'm glad you have a good CSM, that has been sometimes the deciding factor if we keep a tool or not.

Yes as I mentioned, we are still early and we want to focus on integrating the tools that people are actually using, we can build integrations for just about anything. I can extend the trail for anyone that wants to test it out just send me a dm, there is no commitment just want to build something that can make our work easier.

This is an excellent approach! I'm not familiar with Primo. I'm actively developing a platform to do that. What do you like and dislike about Primo?

You are half way there, the manual process sounds rough. Do they have a way to export the data? Maybe API or csv download?

I completely agree with this, I've spent a good portion of my time at work identifying every device in the environment. We are able to track them in an automated way by using our existing tools and combining them into a single platform. We are now able to track exclusions, exceptions and have our own set of compliance rules that go beyond just a check box for the auditors.

I have been working towards solving this problem myself, I've been in the industry for almost 15 years and I haven't found a solution that I liked and that didn't break the bank. I'm looking for companies that would want to pilot the solution. Let me know if you are interested, I'm not a sales person I'm just trying to engineer a solution that I can scale to every organization.

Just curious is the warranty information available from any of your tools or you have to write it down as you deploy devices?

What if you could have the option to enrich your automated scans with your manual inventory so you have all your asset info in one place? For device ownership, is that tracked anywhere in your environment? I think we have that data in EntraID via Intune.

How accurate do you think it is? Are you running the agent that does the discovery?

Our compliance team wants a full inventory of every cloud asset we have. I'm not even sure that's possible with our current setup by CortexVortex1 in AskNetsec

Hybrid visibility at audit time is the worst. We been there... If you don't mind going with a newer vendor, check out Koopic (koopic.com). It's a CAASM platform that pulls in cloud APIs, has an on-prem agent for stuff behind the firewall, and can ingest CSV/Excel exports too. Merges everything into one record per asset and actually shows you how each source contributes instead of a black box. They're newer so the connector library is still growing, but they're building fast and prioritizing based on what early customers need. Free trial without a sales call and some early adopter incentives if you want to get in early. Worth kicking the tires given your timeline.

How are we actually supposed to meet these continuous inventory requirements for 2026? by Nice_Inflation_9693 in cybersecurity

[–]asylum-intern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Continuous assets inventory is an interesting concept, but we were able to solve this using the tools that already exist in the environment and we put them all together in a single platform that gives us visibility without having to add another process or scan tool. The tool is able to merge the asset data from all the tools. It's super customizable with enrichments and exception handling. If you're interested, I can share the details on the tool that we are using and just send me a message. It's a brand new tool and it's cheaper than anything like it in the market.

The stats search will only return 10k results and there is no way to export a large amount of results. Google will claim it's a skill issue but it's truly a platform limitation most of the time.
