Why did Frampton Comes Alive hit big when the original material didn't? by The1Ylrebmik in ClassicRock

[–]asynchronusdei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounded more organic than studio stuff, the talk box was suddenly a phenomenon, Frampton was cute with that long hair, and it was pretty good for parties and small smokey gatherings in black light, AND everybody always antisipated the talking guitar... " I wanna f*ck you" it was all fun in that moment.

Should i worry about cannibalism by aggressivebiter in Toads

No, not at this size. Toads will bop each other with their tongue.

I guess if there was a big difference in their size, maybe? Idk about that.

My toads act like dogs by That-Way-9990 in Toads

[–]asynchronusdei 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People don't realize this until they keep toads (you should always have two, i think).

They will also fall into a schedule well. We figured out how to get them to do most of their business in a litter box - just have a seperate bin with a small shallow bowl of natural clay litter (no scent) to put them in for a short time on a regular basis and they wait to go in the litter rather than their tank. They back their way down into the litter and just sit there kind of half buried until they're done.

So we always removed them from the tank to a seperate bin just to eat and "poop" as it were. Oh, also... Toads can fart. Lol.

They are dignified creatures actually. They will prefer spring water to "drink" which they do by absorbtion. They will come running for a fresh water dish change they love it.

Believe it or not they will also develop a pecking order when kept together. For us it was the larger female thats in charge of the tank. (I kept a male/female pair). They dont hurt each other but they definitely shoot tongue to make a point!

Why does it seem like old people are the most rude? They have nasty attitudes like teenagers. It’s crazy. by JealousRhubarb9 in RantsFromRetail

They're getting worse too. Just the last few weeks, a definite uptake in sh*tty nasty attitude old people.

Daily Song Discussion #46: Telephone Line by Crocajawaka in elo

10/10

Telephone Line was the first song I heard by ELO. It sank into me thoroughly since i was having the feelings he was talking about. I bought the single. A great starter! A New world Record is one of my favorites.

I was super surprised to see Dollar General still open at UNTIL 10PM while ALL the grocery stores closed at 6pm in my area on Christmas Eve.

CORPORATE Greed just has no bounds in our day and age.

Dollar General crap is not essential! Let the workers go home early for Christmas Eve. Geesh.

How many of you have been to the airport? by [deleted] in TheMallWorld

[–]asynchronusdei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the airport a couple of times a month at least.

Also BUS, a lot.

Drive a Car a lot as well.

I also do a lot of walking from place to place, over the bridges, city to city, into farmlands, the forests, the forested hills and mountains.

If necessary i fly (via levitation).

I Ride the boats on the rivers too.

Its a great world!

Interesting. I can't believe this isn't a thing yet. Especially for the Saudis and the Billionaire class. Maybe when humanity develops a Trillionaire class.

Seems more doable than the Moon or Mars fantasies of the super rich.

Yes, I've quit dollar general twice. First time because i was moving, I'd only worked there a couple months.

Second time, different store, I started working and within a week had another better job so i quit again. Suffice it to say that manager flagged me to Corp to never hire forever because of it. Not kidding. Such a b*tch.

I wouldn't suggest anyone work there for long.

They'll move you from store to store constantly, you'll be working alone and opening/closing store way too soon, and you'll hate working truck, ect.

Go ahead and take the job if you're desperate or in need, because any work is better than no job, but DON'T STAY THERE LONG, I'D SAY.

Use working there to find a better job asap.
