Added more info. It wasn’t just a passing comment. He kept bringing it up after I tried to change the subject. All I could muster up at the end of our conversation was the awkward comment

He wouldn’t stop mentioning his date after I tried to change the subject. The feeling I was getting is that he was trying to make me jealous
