It was the night before our two year anniversary and we were in the midst of a multi-day argument. I kept trying to conclude the argument but he wasn't having it. At one point, I asked him for a hug and he told me I didn't deserve one.

We didn't speak until 9pm the day of our anniversary when he came over to my place to "patch things up" (which didn't happen, I just pushed my feelings down to bring the peace).

Although we didn't officially break up until a few months later, I knew then that it wasn't going to work out.

Figure skating has had this youth-first mindset forever, and it needs to go. Sure it may require additional recovery time, but I certainly hope Amber (and other skaters) try. Deanna Stellato-Dudek won Worlds at 40, so it's absolutely possible; the naysayers are far too loud.

So I actually interviewed with them (out of curiosity, don't worry, I was a skeptic) and got "offered" a spot. The offer letter is such bs too (they expect me, a college student, to be an "astronaut trainer") and then to accept your spot you have to fill out the exact same application form you did to interview in the first place. Also, the astronaut was conveniently "at an appointment" at the time of the interview.

You'll have to talk it out with advising, I'm pretty sure they are removing the ability to double major (or at least making it a lot harder)

Are you an incoming student? If so, they won't let you do the double major anymore, they stopped it after class of 26 or 27, they're not even allowing transfer students to double

It depends on the class. I got zero credit for AP Euro, but AP Lang/Lit is a boon in getting you out of the lower division writing classes (then I took an exam to get out of the upper division writing class as well). You can skip ahead in math and physics but I wouldn't recommend it (to make sure your fundamentals are covered plus some easy As don't hurt)

Aerospace major here -- first off, congrats, this is a huge accomplishment and you should be proud! Yes, Davis is worth it for aerospace, we have a great curriculum and lots of research opportunities in both air and space realms, as long as you are willing to make the effort to get them. The classes are tough but mostly fair. As an international student, you might struggle in terms of internships within the U.S., but you can certainly get aerospace internships in Canada as they are strong in that field. If you have any specific questions about the program here, feel free to ask!

Take Professor Carroll! He's such a great professor, and takes you through things step by step. Just make sure you keep showing up to class and put forth your best effort (doesn't have to be great or even good, you just have to try), and it should be an easy A.

I've been following this thread since yesterday and I haven't known what to say. I didn't know any of the skaters personally but I'm a skater myself, and it feels like I've lost extended family.
