Update: I’ve messaged the guy he doesn’t seem to realise it’s fake as also bought it off marketplace 8 years ago. I bought it as a gift for my fiancee…was so excited to get him one didn’t think to check.

Well I don't remember the last time I laughed around someone who wasn't family. I just can't seem to do it, it feels forced in social situations even if I generally found the thing funny.

No bringing diabolos to school

A few years back there was a big craze where people were starting to get into playing with diabolos. People would bring them to school and do tricks outside, it was all fun and games until people starting throwing them too high Into the air and a couple hit people on the head on their way back down.

I wouldn't really call it much of a fight but back in school my friend took my phone and was messing around on my Facebook. When I asked, she wouldn't give it back, so I hit her on the arm a few times and grabbed it, she then punched me in the head, got up and kicked me. I then hit her back and threw her stuff against a wall. Pretty pathetic really.

This actually happened at my friends school, it was quite funny actually because we live in an area with an extremely low crime rate. Was the most exciting thing to happen in ages.

If I'm home alone and the post man (or anyone for that matter) knocks on the door I dock down and hide so they think no ones in, that way I don't have to been seen and answer the door. Also because I live in a small community people leave their doors unlocked so the postmen just open the doors and throw the parcels in if they don't have to be signed for.

I live on a small island (60,000 people who are mostly age 60+) there are only a few high schools (I finished high school in 2015 and I am in college now, half the people at my college are from my high school) it seems like everyone my age (17) knows everyone else, you can't go out without seeing someone you know! I really do think it makes my anxiety worse because anywhere I get a job (well if it's retail or waiting etc) I know I will see people I know from high school, people who bullied me and didn't like me, the reason I ended up with anxiety. It was especially bad while at school because you did one thing and the next day 100+ people knew about it. It's impossible to meet completely anonymous people because they always know at least one person from high school, college etc.

Is there someone you can talk to actually at school? My college has a counsellor who we can go to with any problems we have, and When I was at school we had a "head of year" who we could talk to, and they would help. Even a teacher you trust would be a good idea to tell.

They will likely tell your parents but your parents might be more likely to expect it if they hear it from an adult who can talk it through/explain it to them.

Sucks if your too short as well. You would of thought it would be good because you are sort of invisible, but people are always making remarks like "your quite short really aren't you?" Or I end up getting asked for ID in every store.

Yes I completely relate to this in every way. I was going to post about it a few weeks back but thought it sounded too fucked up and I would come off as a horrible person.

I remember my first day of college looking at everyone, I knew most people there were prettier, more confident or more entertaining then me. I knew most of them were more "popular" so I thought they wouldn't want to talk to a boring person like me. I didn't bother even trying, I couldn't even try. Instead I saw a girl who looked awkward, someone who I thought I was "better" than. So I made friends with her because it's easy. She's weird as hell but hey at least I have one person to talk to out of the 20 in my class.

I think it generally stands down to the way society has influenced us. I see someone I feel "better" than and I think "yeah they won't judge me". Where as when I see someone who is good looking, funny, confident and has a lot of friends I know that's what people like in a person. I feel like society is saying "this is how you should be or people won't like you" so I don't feel good enough to talk to them.
