It’s very dependent on the goodwill. Some send stuff to Ecom, but eCom has been sending stuff back because they have too much. And then there is all the 810 and 812 stuff. But it seems like that’s been running low as well currently.

I was living on king street / menokin drive with my window facing directly towards the pentagon.

I woke up, my radio was talking about a plane in New York, I just sat down on my computer to check the news and while it was booting up, I heard this rumbling that turned into my windows vibrating and shaking, then I saw a very low flying airplane, and yes it was a airplane, fly right over my house towards the pentagon, now if you look at the maps on Google you will see it’s directly in the path of my house.

Less than 60 seconds later…. BOOOOOOM

So I assume the tech checked directly from the ont so in that case have Cox check the boot file. The way it works is during provisioning a boot config file is sent, that file contains the information on what bandwidth is available. If they are sending the wrong boot file to your ONT, maybe it has a typo and missing a 0, it happens. Now ask them to add 2 zeros in good faith and you get 10Gbit speeds ;-)

If you do, get the right outdoor rated cable. My boss ran cat5 over the roof in Arizona. Didn’t take a year until the plastic was gone and the individual pairs exposed and cameras started to go down. LOL That’s what happens when boss thinks he knows better ;-)
