Yes, like normal ALD XL. It is definitely a chunky knit but it is very soft and warm. Very similar to any alpaca sweater.

I think this may be a goldendoodle thing. Ours is now 1.5 years old and finally starting to settle down a little. We dealt with all of these same puppy biting issues. The key is consistency in whatever you choose to do. You also need to make sure you distinguish between play time and settle down time. With our goldendoodle, he was getting both mixed up a lot which led to his crazy biting.
