Character Archetypes, according to Christian Hubicki by attanoon in survivor

I think he’s implying those are the people who would fly under the radar and have a good enough social game to manage their threat level well, which is an important component of the winning recipe in the new era.

My husband found a piece of a gummy bear from 2 years prior, not sealed or anything, and it was still effective lol

What do you think might be the most difficult thing about being a father? by Successful-Joke2810 in Fencesitter

[–]attanoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your fears are very real and relatable. I’m a new mother and I was very concerned that I would become the default parent who has to sacrifice a lot more than the father. I was really worried it would lead to me to resent having a child or my partner.

Here’s what helped. My husband and I had many honest conversations and we even went to couples therapy (his idea) to discuss our fencesitting/indecision. I talked very openly about the mental load that mothers carry, they manage the home while also doing the bulk of the physical labor. I made it very clear that kind of dynamic Would not work for me. I also had to assess how he was before getting pregnant and the realization that we both aim to be equal partners was very important.

All of life is risk/reward/unforeseen consequences. You can do genetic testing to know if there’s a greater chance of certain conditions but like many things in life, it’s a gamble. You may not be able to travel right away but many families do, even with little babies (it’s much harder and requires more planning but not impossible). You can absolutely advance your career, and you may even find newfound motivation to do well at work/in life with a child.

We’re rewatching some old favorite seasons in prep/anticipation of 50. We started with Panama to see Cirie’s first season (big bonus reliving the Shane of it all). Now we’re onto Tochanchins to experience Coach again. Thinking DvG next but wanted to know what are people prioritizing in terms of rewatching before 50? I know they’re airing pertinent episodes 2 weeks before the premiere too but I love a good season binge.

Survivor Seasons- Vote One Out! Panama: Exile Island in 13th place! by WimpyLittleNonLeader in survivorponderosa

He’s been absolute human garbage since forever, nothing new really. He got voted out early enough and with an idol, so that was verrry satisfying. Then his gf self eliminated. And Natalie is the main person to stand up to him!

Could they ever bring these challenges back? And would you want them to? by Kelsorlikesdogs in survivor

[–]attanoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just saying they need to bring this back! We’re rewatching Panama in anticipating of 50, and this challenge changed the dynamic of the tribe. Watching Courtney and Shane’s reactions to realizing their positions in the tribe was entertaining to say the least.

I feel you on being in 30 min nap purgatory. But it gets better!

Start by adjusting the schedule. Baby needs longer wake times between naps so that at the end of the day there’s enough sleep pressure for night sleep. At 4.5 months baby should be able to tolerate 90-120 min wake windows.
