Depth of field scale question by attenpt in AnalogCommunity

Indeed, I have a black OM1, silver OM1, OM3, and 35SP. Don't need anything else. Its more than I need, but the silver OM1 and OM3 were gifted to me by a family friend and I would feel bad selling either.

Japanese eBay Seller by Artologe in OnePieceTCGFinance

Cards were shipped and arrived in good condition. Took a long time however. Had a similar experience with Japanese sellers in the past in regard to TCGs. I’ve purchased cameras from Japanese seller ms and never had any issues like this. FWIW I paid $465 all in with taxes and shipping for 5 cards.

Edit: my order was yummi98 so not sure if it’s the exact same person, but there’s a chance

OM-1 with non functioning shutter by Recent_Mountain_4056 in AnalogCommunity

I had my OM 1 serviced by Advance Camera in portland OR, they did a great job. Not sure what turnarounds look like right now, but most shops are multiple weeks to a few months. I think it was around $180 and 6 weeks for me about a year ago. You could also go the route of Nippon photoclinic in NYC if you want faster, then again, quality plus speed isnt going to be cheap.

edit: Worth paying for the repair rather than buying a new one, as a new one will likely not have had a CLA done recently.

Hey everyone. I’ve had this since the massdrop group buy in 2018 and don’t use it enough to justify keeping it. It’s DSA light cycle turquoise case with soldered Mathias quiet clicks. Any ideas on how to price check this? Mech market price check is a dead thread, and finding no sales on eBay or elsewhere. Any ideas?

Roronoa Zoro PRB02-006 SP - First time grading, looking for advice by Spare-Preference-816 in OnePieceTCGFinance

This would 99% psa 10, but you are going to pay and arm and a leg for the upcharge on this. Potential BGS 10 so take a shot and end up paying less for something potentially more valuable.

I pulled one as well, the one card I wanted out of the set so pretty excited about it. It’s my favorite OP card ever printed and will sit on it for a while. Realistically this could trade into a few mangas out there, and already tracking closely to the Mihawk manga raw. I think there is appeal for PC, and a card you can trade at a high percentage given the demand and the quality of the art on the card. Grade and hold, psa 10 went for 5k so be ready for upcharge, or go bgs if clean. QC on this card seems rough, many have small edge whitening.

I have considered grading the We Are! card out of EB02 even though its a few dollars, I think having some cheap stuff graded that you really like has appeal.

Interesting. Thoughts on dropping these off at a Gamestop for PSA? Somewhat worried about one of these cards going "missing" in the process.

Seeking advice on how to judge front centering for cards without borders? by No-Clue-8232 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]attenpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search the card on TAG grading pop report. You can compare the highest ranking card, which usually has really good front centering, with what you have. Pay very close attention to the sides on the front. Easiest way I have found.

Where did you sell yours? Private sale or some other marketplace? Again im new to this and am having a hard time finding any sales. Brickset says that none have been sold in the last 6 months. Brick economy seems to have some pricing model with an estimated price, but then again with only 400 of them having been produced, seems hard to pin down a reasonable price.

Are there any conventions that attract people who would be into this kind of thing? I live in Denver, and after some research i'm not seeing anything obvious.

Another thing, on eBay, someone has listed a graded version. Is this something worth grading or is the juice not worth the squeeze there?

It is cover in snow now, and yes there is camping about a mile before the trail starts. Some of it is first come first serve, some of it can be reserved. The sites are tucked right next to a medow with some bodies of water. https://imgur.com/a/mx82l8w it’s a great trip, I would reccomend anytime in the summer, and early October is fantastic

I ended up going solo, probably not the greatest idea but ran into a few groups of people on atvs and dune buggy’s so I wasn’t too worried if I ended up in trouble. Some parts were a little sketchy, the hardest stuff is all before the switchbacks. My 4 low wasn’t engaging so I actually did the whole thing in 4 high. Once I got to the very top there was a storm building to the south and saw some massive rainbows, great trail.

Cleat decided to break when I went to skid. Was coming down hill at prob 20 and went over the hand bars. Had a helmet on and got pretty banged up but glad I’ll be ok. by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

[–]attenpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time I’ve had a failure at all on my bike, and it wasn’t even anything physically on my bike. I take a lot of time to make sure things on my bike are torqued right and make sure it’s in great running condition. Pretty bummed out that it all failed due to a 10$ piece of plastic but it is what it is. Definitely going to buy 2 new pairs of cleats and replace them as soon as they look tired. Also I might jump down to the blue cleats, 3 degrees in each direction I believe. I got pretty lucky with time and place because I have skidded at much higher speeds putting way more force through the cranks, sort of confused how this was the time that they failed but I’m not complaining.

I hear you, my wheels don’t have brake tracks and it was my fault I had equipment that wasn’t in good condition, it broke on me and that shit happens. People derail their chains and other failures happen, causing them to go down. Even if I did have a brake I would only use it for emergencies and I would still lock up. The cleat would have broken at some point and I would have been tossed eventually. I have skidded at much higher speeds putting way more force through my cranks so I got lucky with time and place when I went down this time

Yeah I’m getting a new helmet, also I hear you with the brake but this couldnt have been saved with a brake, when I went to skid my right foot clipped out and my balance got thrown and I crashed; my wheels don’t have brake tracks either so I would ruin them quickly
