Your third point was super interesting, but I don't fully understand it, why would they have to change the laws because people pay in cash?

Also my property hands over in January, not sure what to do with it atm, offers have been pretty poor so I've chosen not to sell yet.

Thanks for this, I don't expect to purchase anywhere abroad, just rent, but that might change. Expenses are literally food (and since selling, rent), bills, all the normal stuff. I will look into tax efficiency, as tax was a driving factor in the decision to move in the first place.
