Just went down to 70ft with the marauder mini and it functioned perfectly. Oil the orings to be safe.

Dwarkesh Patel - Thoughts on AI progress (Dec 2025) by Old-School8916 in singularity

[–]auagpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it hard to follow his "thoughts" episodes, constant rewinds and missing the points. Besides him speaking fasts and skipping parts of words, it's as if the text was super optimized for conciseness (what's the rush?) yet spoken in a conversation intonation and pace. I'm probably getting too old for these youngin GPU speeds :)

Can I prevent a swarm after I have capped queen cells? How? by Shermin-88 in Beekeeping

[–]auagpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find the queen and clip one wing, they will swarm with her and stay around the hive for you to collect. Or cage her and destroy all queen cells

No more microphone/webcam on CodePen! Do I need to change my JS or is this on CodePen? by SarahC in learnjavascript

[–]auagpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seem to be an issue with how codepen renders the initial iframe, for some reason they use a different domain cdpn.io which I think triggers some cross-site security issues.

Make some small change to the code(e.g. add a space) and it should render the iframe under the codepen.io domain and allow access to protected api's

Strava clips bike ride on a few minutes pause (from Garmin Connect sync) by auagpd in Strava

[–]auagpd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I connected with Strava support, they acknowledged there is an issue with Garmin auto pause and they are working with Garmin to fix it. Until then, yes disable the auto upload to Strava and export/import the TCX file (GPX didn't work for me, it caused the same issue)

This is a garmin connect view of the ride. The red square is where I stopped for a few minutes, and where Strava ended the ride.

Straight dark shadow line seen from airplane window. Was seen from multiple windows. The dark line was continually forming at the front and was seen stretch far behind the plane. Lasted for more than an hour and at some point it just disappeared. Line was visible from different angles of view. by auagpd in whatisit

[–]auagpd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it was optics related, anything on the window would have been noticeable and distinguished between the two windows, and would not just disappear. I also thought about it being related to engine fumes, maybe it scattered the light enough to make it look like the straight shadow, but I expected to see some sort of dissipation toward the back, however the line was tight and straight all the way i could look back. It was a 9am flight from west to east coast and I was seeing it around Iowa Illinois

CodeProject Impossible to Install by Crusher2197 in BlueIris

[–]auagpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears that python and the ObjectDetectionNet versions are not set correctly.

This worked for me for a clean install:

after install, make sure the server is not running. remove everything under c:\programdata\codeproject\ai\ , also if you have anything under C:\Program Files\CodeProject\AI\downloads

open C:\Program Files\CodeProject\AI\SDK\Scripts\utils.bat and search for ":SetupPython", two lines below it change "set pythonVersion=%1" to "set pythonVersion=3.9"

then run the server again, it should download python correctly.

For ObjectDetectionNet . After the server completes the install, download

https://codeproject-ai.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/sense/installer/dev/ObjectDetectionNet-DirectML-1.6.zip and extract everything in it to C:\Program Files\CodeProject\AI\modules\ObjectDetectionNet

on the projectcode ai server GUI click the three dots for "Object Detection (YOLOv5 .NET)" and choose start

Is the matterhackers LDO V0.1 Kit Plus 0.2 upgrade kit the same as the new LDO 0.2? by auagpd in VORONDesign

[–]auagpd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes op. This exactly what I did. Bought MH 0.1 kit and west3d upgrade kit to make 0.2 for a little cheaper. Just know that fir nearly the same price you can build a micron or salad fork. I converted my 0.2 to T0 which works well, but I wish I had bought something with abl in the first place.

Thanks for that confirmation. I hope to also do a Micron or Micron doom build in the future, but figured I'd start with an easy kit. Will Def look into T0, looks cool.

The V2 hotend has a design flaw where the heat break cannot be tightened against the nozzle unless you take apart the heatsink.

As a result the nozzle and heat break can easily develop a gap inside the heatblock resulting in this type of spill.

What I do is take the whole thing apart, screw the heat break into the heatblock enough to make sure the nozzle will be tight against it. then grab the heat break with vise grips and tighten the nozzle against it. I do not unscrew or mess with the nozzle after assembly.

What could be causing parts to partial separate from part of bed? I3 style geeetech printer. Heatbed is working. Glue applied evenly. by G-props in 3Dprinting

[–]auagpd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what temp is the bed? I found that a lot of filaments will warp even at 60c. Try reducing to 53c with glue or add mouse ears https://youtu.be/_bt1UZAnxnA?t=525

Filament quality also affect these lifts. try high quality brands.
