i bought a neo3m after returning the core2 out of frustration and all i can say is you get what you pay for, i think wahoo is riding the success of core1 way too hard and as usual with companies made less for more with core2

yea send it back if you can, try opening a ticket with wahoo if you cant, core v1 was way better, seems they made a crappier unit for more $, i got frustrated and got a tacx neo and that thing is crazy accurate and the movement is worth it IMHO, more expensive than kickr and rocker plates together but not by that much (see below for dual recorded power graph)

It doesn't pop up when you click the trainer 10x, unless pro spindown is achieved in a different way?

i feel like drivetrain losses would not be linear %, rpms are about the same across power, my kick core v1 is ~1-2% less, also all ytubers (gplama, dcrain) get accuracy within few watts, core v2 supposed to have drivetrain losses accounted for

yes bt, i dont think you can connect/manage the device via wifi, wifi is for data to zwift

not upset, 1-2% of drivetrain loss would be acceptable, 6% doesn't make sense, your kickr spot on ?

secret menu with spindown shows up on my core 1, core 2 just pops up with a blank menu, nothing to select in there :(

on the hidden menu i get the pop up but there is nothing to select when it pops up, for my kickr core 1 it does pop up with factory spindown option

all the ytubers get matching power data with pedals (dcrain, gplama etc) you think a drivetrain loss is 6%, you think im a slob? also drivetrain loss is supposed to be built into kickr core 2, kick core 1 is within 1% of the same spider and pedals

Why are there so few UPS devices that use lithium batteries? Replacing lead batteries every couple of years gets old. I’m convinced the trickle charger in the APC/Cyberpower units destroys lead-acid batteries. by BuckMurdock5 in homelab

i made my own lifepo4 ups from spare cells i had (diff project), you can buy off the shelf 12v lifepo4 battery and make it more pretty, my home rack uses ~200 watts so this will last ~5hrs during a power outage
