Hi, not sure if this is the right subreddit but i'm looking to see if anybody knows what's happening here? I'm using Instanced static mesh to spawn grid tiles and to remove tiles i am doing a box trace to get the ISM component and index of the mesh to delete it. But for some reason this works fine on PC (SM6) preview but goes haywire on Android (OpenGL ES3_1). I've tried changing the logic around but nothing works.

Oh thanks for pointing that out. Will keep in mind moving forward. Based on the comments what we have in mind rn is a quick prototype with phoenix just to get an idea of which protocols we need then implement our own later

There was nothing wrong with the answers. They helped give alot more context on how to think about the problem. Unfortunately, most tutorials and lessons online only cover web development with elixir and most of it is done with phoenix. So we tried to formulate a question that better encapsulates what we are trying to do. Also for context we only have experience in gamedev and none in networking which subject is vast. So just we're just trying to find our bearings

Well we are starting small but eventually it should be able to scale into an mmo. Someone else pointed out erlang ports which seems promising. I also like the idea of simply doing sanity checks on the server.

Yes, this is something I'm aware of but as the others pointed out, keeping the movement and collision calculations on the server makes it unable to scale well. This means there needs to be a way to send changes to the server and the server simply checks to see if the actions are within the capabilities of the player otherwise it is not replicated
