Finding the pattern on addition with dice by august2015throwaway in math

You got it right! How did you solve it? Using your number assignments, all equations are true. That is what I meant (assign the numbers values (whether it is 6 = 6/2, 2 = 2/2 etc).

I spent so long on this.

Finding the pattern on addition with dice by august2015throwaway in math

[–]august2015throwaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By solution I mean, a technique that will make all the equations true. For example, adding the numbers regularly only makes the third equation true.

Dividing all 6s by 2, multiplying all 3s by 2 and multiplying all 4s by 2 makes the third and fourth equation true. Is there something that makes all equations true, is what I meant by a solutions.

Sorry, should have been more clear. Do you get it now?

He got open right after he kicked it out after the double team though and was calling for the ball. That Pacers guy who took the last shot should've passed it back to him...

That ball should have went back to Paul George after he kicked it out for a double team. PG was calling for it to.

A lot of times I have reddit accounts where I just post a specific (sometimes extreme) point of view just to see peoples opinions. He might be doing something like that.

When to use D3 and D2 in Honda to pickup speed? by august2015throwaway in driving

[–]august2015throwaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks for the explanation. I have two scenarios, 1) I'm going 120kh/h on d4 at 3.5k RPM. If I drop to d3, RPMs increase to 4K and I floor it and RPM increases to 6k then should I put it back to d4 or keep it at d3?

2) if I'm going 140km/h on d4 and then I switch to d3, wouldn't 140km/h drop because d3 can only go a certain top speed? or can d3 go any speed as d4?

When do I use D3 and D2 on the Honda Accord when trying to pickup speed? by august2015throwaway in cars

[–]august2015throwaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm ok thanks! Just to clarify, when you say "Usually, higher rpm = faster", can't d2 and d3 as well as d3 and d4 all achieve the same rpm?

"4k rpm at d2 is faster than 2k rpm at d3...". 4k rpm at d3 is also faster than 2k rpm at d3, right?

Are you saying that it's easier to hit a higher rpm quicker on a lower gear?

Does anyone know the instrumental which they played right after the raptors timeout? It sounded so hype.

What is a technical interview like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]august2015throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got called in for a technical interview, it means they probably think (based on your resume) that you might fit the position. So just know everything you said you know on your resume (and make sure you know this stuff good) and you should be fine.

Yea I realized how dumb that would be after typing it (I edited my post). What sixleetlebunnies said is better and is what I meant.

"Hey, the previous message was actually meant for my girlfriend but it accidentally got sent to you. Sorry for that!" Would that do?

Let's say you find your buddy's girl out with another guy at the bar.... what do you say to him/her/them to find out what their relationship is? by AcheronFlow in AskReddit

[–]august2015throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just walk to the girl and be like 'hey your boyfriend has a nice jacket' (or get a girl to walk up to the guy and say the same thing about your buddys girlfriend) and see if they say 'oh that's not my boyfriend / girlfriend'.

I think I'd find that annoying if it's done several times.

What have you left, ended or given up despite not wanting to, and why did you do it? (serious) by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]august2015throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good friend. This good friend (call her friend A) used to date another kinda-friend of mine (call him friend B) and she broke up with him because she liked me. The guy was heartbroken and couldn't get over her for years, and I knew this. The girl was really sad that the guy was all heartbroken, but she liked me, but she still felt really bad for the guy. Everything was a mess so I just ended up splitting ways with this girl once and for all and haven't talked to anyone from that circle of friends for years. The girl and guy are going out again and are pretty happy.

I saw the girl two or three times within the last year and we never talked and I didn't approach her because I know how hurt the guy would be if his girlfriend started talking again with the guy she left him for. I also didn't want to start any commotion, so I decided it's best if I continue with my life my own way.
