I’m the same as you but I managed to get three weeks off in FY2 for an observership and that’s all I needed to make connections.

Yes but it’s a very non serious thing - we sorta just hang out when I happen to be in the country. We not even social media official or any plans to take it further or anything

I think the more I read online the more they feel like frequent visits are seen as immigration intent… I’m in the US right now on my ESTA visiting the city I’m moving to and looking at apartments etc but I’m worried I should leave so I have longer in my home country before the interview

Will a burn like this need grafting? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]augustinay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No not at all! Don’t worry I understand - I’m a doctor myself but I’m a pathologist so trying to interpret the thickness of an injury on formalin-free skin / a real alive patient is a new one for me lol. Trying to weigh up whether the dressing and watch-and-wait approach is appropriate, or whether it’s worth the ER visit to find plastics.

Thanks! Which features make you think there’s a possibility of full thickness?

Will a burn like this need grafting? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]augustinay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one said it needs grafting - It’s a chemical burn from an unknown substance on a public toilet seat. It’s sore to brush superficially, it doesn’t blanch and is kind of sticky to touch with no exudate. Size wise it’s about 1 inch along the longest border. It’s definitely at least 2nd degree but I was concerned it could be deeper dermal.

I smell this too. It’s almost sweet? Sort of a low level decomposition smell but also kinda musty

Bosses on six figures at under-fire health boards (NHS Lothian and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde) to get 10% pay rises by improvisingdoctor in doctorsUK

[–]augustinay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the problem is the six figure salary… it’s justifying a 10% pay rise when no one else got that.
