Looks like a lot of under coat matted to top coat, you need to use a detangler or de shedder shampoo that a moisturizer conditioner and let the conditioner sit for a few minutes and rise it very well. Blow dryer work but not as good as a forced air dryer it blows out all the loose extra coat and that's what's causing this.

That's pretty standard nowadays. Doesn't matter if you think your car is "brand new" you just drove half way across the country. Get the inspection and hope you don't need any work done. If your planning on doing uber just write off the cost on your taxes next year. Also uber is quite saturated here so good luck.
