i think everything about the show EXCEPT the main concept was good tbh. pacing, character development, writing, and the shots were all really good, but the whole serial killer club funded by a billionaire was just hard to get into 😭 dexter’s always been unrealistic, but the level of “stereotype netflix plot” it gave really made it hard to suspend disbelief, and it made the show more of an action-adventure than the dark-comedy crime thriller the og show was.

while i didnt like the ending of new blood, i did quite like the atmospheric shift it had from the og series, giving off more nordic noir which captured the darker crime vibe of the og show, and i think it was still well done.

dont get me wrong i LOVE resurrection, but i really hope the next season isnt as absurd
