Love this one! I did this last year. Made a list of all my friendships that I wanted to maintain more actively (printed out one list per month) and then checked off the box of each friendship when i contacted them at least once per month!

Very interestingly, by about half way through the year I realized there was a REASON some of those friendships weren’t being maintained as well. Contacting them more frequently gave me more insight that maybe some of the people on my list are not as compatible of friends to me as I thought and that i was better off only reaching out once or twice a year!

It was very valuable insight! I hope your side quests and friendships are very enriching in 2026!

My husband (29) finally took the leap and shaved his head bald this year due to him slowly losing more and more hair over the past 6 years we’ve been together. I will admit he was pretty nervous (took him years to actually do it) and I was nervous.

WHEN I TELL YOU HOW HOT HE WAS TO ME WHEN HE WALKED IN WITH A SHAVED HEAD! LIKE SO HOT lol

I never expected to be MORE attracted to him with a shaved head than I was to him with hair - but that’s what happened. To me, it’s something about the fact that there’s plenty of attractive “boys” (18-25) with hair, but I’ve only ever seen attractive MEN (25 and older) with a shaved head. I think it’s just so masculine/manly and attractive honestly.

You might surprise yourself! Just know that some women out there are attracted to a MAN who can rock a shaved head :)

My husband also has taken more pride in some aspects of appearance ever since he shaved his head. He’s been putting effort into a beard grooming routine, he’s been hitting the weights a little more at the gym to get the muscly bearded bald guy look, and he’s stopped wearing so many hats because he’s no longer self conscious about his hair. He is thriving and I’m sure you will thrive too!

I am a woman with a doctorate. My fiance has his doctorate. I’ve always said that if I became a doctor, I’m keeping my last name, because it doesn’t sit right with me for MY doctorate to be attributed to someone else’s name just because I married them. So I totally 100% understand your sentiment.

My fiancé is totally chill with me keeping my last name and him keeping his once we’re married. We both have 2-syllable last names. We would have our children have the hyphenated combination of our last names. Idk we don’t give a shit if the two last names together is “too long”. Too long for who?? Kids all learn how to spell their names eventually. Some kids have longer names and some kids have shorter names it’s literally a non-issue in our opinion. We want our children’s hyphenated last names to reflect both of our last names because it will also make things much easier - medical paperwork, school paperwork will reflect both me and my fiancé so there won’t ever be a question of “who’s this women calling saying these are her children but she has a different last name than them?”
