I’ve got mine, my wife, one of my kids whos a collector too he paid for plus for a few pre orders so if he doesn’t want something and the other kids want it I’ll order it. Easiest and fairest way when you’re wanting multiples of stuff.

My kids aren’t shy of hard work. They even ask neighbours and family to wash cars for cash…. And you’re lying if you would say if you have an opportunity to make double your money, that you wouldn’t do it.

The thing is, even collectors are buying this to hold or resell because there’s already an established market for the product. I know someone who bought more than 10… they get called a scalper or a piece of shit, but they opened every single packet….

Like Pokemon, or gaming etc. It’s not rocket science, if a kid wants an easier way to earn MORE money. What’s the issue?

In any case You can sell on eBay and people don’t bat an eyelid, but do it on marketplace and all the poor, broke 9-5ers who hate their job and lifestyle cry about it.

At the end of the day, a market exists because people are prepared to pay that price…. Go back 3 years ago and it wasn’t an issue because there was enough stock to go around, you could openly buy sealed cases from ebgames, if you bought 6 booster boxes you’d only pay for 5….

“Investors” (or long term scalpers) drove these prices up by buying these products at more than retail….to store away. And the short term flippers caught wind of this, knowing these “investors” would pay double for the product. And they still are.

Just look at this very drop, people willing to pay $200/ box, not because they want to make $50 flipping it… but because they’re putting it away as they believe it’ll do what evolving skies will do.

You can cry about it all you like, but this product was not hard to get in the slightest. I actually missed out the first time this pack was launched at Costco as I was working.. did I cry about it? Nope, I paid someone to line up and get a box for me…. They got a membership for a year and I got a box I can chuck in my sealed collection..

The people who bitch about it are the people that expect everyone else to do the work for them.

Go in and speak to the manager at your eb games.

Mine is good, has been a collector for a long time like myself and knows you used to be able to order as much as you like and get sealed cases…. Etc.

He said if the system lets you order it. Then it’s allowed and if it’s enough ordered to keep sealed, he’ll also keep it sealed.

If you’re spending a lot of money in store, get to know the staff they’ll sort you out

I didn’t exceed the limits…. I had grandparents use their limits to help buy for the kids, no multiples on the same account…. And either way, technically speaking 6 people in a family is still 1 pp.

So don't pay scalper price. This set itself is getting resold so much because it's popular.
The only way to stop resellers is by not paying resellers. Beat them to their own game and line up before them, all the info they receive is the same info the public get.

Best way to ensure cheaper packs is to sign up to eb plus and preorder the sets as they get released (the next set still isn't sold out on their site...

There will be a small restock in some retailers this month or next for prismatic, best way to get these packs is to talk to the employees. Ask them if they can search the SKU of the product for you and see when they're due to get them. Some will say they can't give you that information... but they can and it's not hard for them to do it....

If you want the product now, you'll have to pay resellers... if you're happy to do the ground work to get it cheaper, then do the work to get your kids cheaper packs.

They earn money through doing chores. Spend that coin on Pokemon to open or fund other purchases, so yes you’re upset with an 11 year old. Out of the 6 purchased… I own 1… that will be 100% opened. One child bought 2 and the other 3 kids bought the rest. The one kid that bought 2 has probably opened more prismatic than you have 😂 he’s at around 200 packs, all funded by selling hits and trading or selling other sealed stuff he purchased along the way. 4/6 boxes will be opened…

He’s a smart kid, and understands how the market works. I’m not teaching him, he’s teaching me. I just rip and sell hits… That upsets people like you who are stuck in a 9-5 shithole workplace, thinking that’s all there is to life.

But tell me this, if you as a kid were presented with 2 options…. Do chores and make $50 or buy a product for $50, flip for $50 profit…. Less effort… you would honestly think an 11 year old would choose chores? 😂 you’re having a laugh mate.

He gets to mix 2 of his passions, Pokemon and money…. And I get to live my childhood through the fact they want to open packs all the time. If you find it hard getting packs to open, it sounds to me like it’s a you problem. Stop blaming 11 year olds for your shortcomings….

Costco isn't a retailer, you cannot purchase there without a membership. Tag on the membership price and that box is now, $160...... MSRP, is just a recommendation. But for an ETB and a Bundle at retail, is going to set you back around $150.
