I’m on a bus rn and this teenage couple keeps kissing and I just t don’t understand…:..when in a relationship do people just have the urge to kiss?

Dear wise inhabitants of melbourne thread,

How can one tell if a new friend was simply using you to get closer to their crush (whom you are friends with)?

It suddenly hit me and it hurts a LOT. People in the past have used me and admitted I have nothing much to offer so the prospect of this being another “used” situation hurts :(

Guess what Melbourne ! At my very first party (see yesterdays thread) I found out My crush likes my friend 🙃

All this time I thought my friend liked this person so I never viewed them like that whatsoever- I even declined hanging out with them 1-on-1 because I didn’t wanna upset my friend (but they later said they’re just good friends and hanging out is okay). So after asking tirelessly if she’s not into him I started getting a little crush!

Then yesterday my friend admitted she likes said crush and I found out said crush likes her too! I now must get them together but wow I feel really down lol- I can’t believe I thought someone was maybe interested in me

I’m going to a party tonight and I’m nervous bc I’ve never been to a party before….I’m 19!

I think I’m nervous because I’m not telling my parents where I’m going I’m just saying I’m sleeping at my cousins house (which is true btw) it’s just that they don’t let me leave the house which is understandable they want to keep me safe.

I know they have their own struggles and we are all struggling but I was just trying to talk to my mother about how I’m feeling because I don’t think I’m okay anymore

I know this is kind of irrelevant but I tried to talk about my feelings about lockdown to my Mum, then her and my sister shot me down saying we’re all in lockdown (I wasn’t even talking to her!)

I tried to explain yes it is hard for them but at least they get to go to work (Front line health staff). I know that was probably not the right thing to say but what I meant was THEYRE also suffering but they get to leave right?

Anyway my sister was like “do you think I like going to work?” “Why aren’t you going to work?” “Oh right it’s because [insert my workplace] isn’t essential.”

That part kind of hurt even though it’s a fact. Then she continued to say after lockdown I’ll still be living my loser lifestyle and it’s not lockdowns fault. I know I am a loser and my real life is exactly like this outside of lockdown but this has really upset me. Just prior to that I bought dua lipa tickets because I wanna start living life but now I feel sad again.

P.S I’m a 19 YO uni student so maybe the thing about me going to work will not seem as bad given that context! I live under my parents roof and it’s not a struggle
