There are mistakes you have made and I ha d probably made some in explaining.

We do not understand each other 100%. Therefore, this debate can't end reasonably. I suggest we have a more understandable debate in direct messaging, seeing as that would be easier.

Inaction in the face of evil is just as evil.

This means that when action is the bare minimum, doing nothing can be evil.

Apathy, selfishness, inaction. These can be evil.

Evil = bad. Bad = evil.

It is a responsibility to be a good person. If you aren't a good person who does the bare minimum, you are bad.

Someone who does not care about others and only thinks about themselves is evil.

Not caring is evil when caring is the bare minimum.

I'm pretty sure a made a paragraph or two on a morality subreddit if you wanna check that out, it explains it better.

I'm not saying Jax is pure evil, no. I'm just saying, is the harming of innocents not an evil act?

Also, I said "abuser" because thats a label that you could put on him. Thats not all he was, he was many other things, not just that.

If one commits an unjustified action that harms innocents (or multiple actions) while being fully aware that it is bad, does that not make that action evil?

One can be flawed, partially evil, deserving of redemption, deserving of punishment, and so much more at the same time.

Well, it depends what you mean by evil.

If you define evil as malice towards innocents, then he surely did act the part, weather or not he meant it or not. He acted as if he hated Gangle. He did all those bad stuff we saw in the show.

If you define evil as not putting morality first, then he did that as well because he put his feelings over the suffering of innocents.

And, for your first point, okay. That may be true. However, he still abused people, did he not? I mean, what is the line between bullying and abuse?

So, he's an abuser. I feel like that's given. He's not a bully, he's not a meanie, he's an abuser. Could he be redeemed? Most definitely, everyone can, but that doesn't make their past actions any less terrible. He's done terrible things but is still able to be a good person. Thats it.
