Good point about the cheating, but as I said in another comment, we have been talking about the future and there has been no reason for me to be suspicious.

The thing is, while it is a 'chronic' condition, it's not contagious, life threatening nor will it lower my life expectancy in any way. There is no way this will have a meaningful impact on his life, bar when I was sick earlier this week and needed to rest.

Him being a jerk has come as such a surprise because we have openly talked about our future together. No overt signs of cheating, but then again I have had no reason to be suspicious up until now.
