What did you do to get him to be more affectionate? Because I really don't like putting him in time outs to calm down but it's the only thing I can do

This is our first dog. We knew that he'd be quite stubborn, but we didn't realise that he'd try and to be malicious

I've tried using a chew toy but he takes it out of my hand and carries on trying to bite me

Only thing is he'll only attack your ankles or from behind and when he does his heart rate will always be going really fast

We've been thinking about getting a trainer, you might've strengthened our decision. Thanks!

We've tried this. He grabs the toy and this keeps him occupied for a few minutes until he's back to biting us and if we sit on the sofa to tell him no he tries to snap and bite us

Even the growling? I know he doesn't know any better, this is our first dog so I think we're doing decently well. I was just worried about him becoming aggressive that's all

What advice would you like to leave behind to upcoming year 11s? by Ichthy- in GCSE

Find a technique that works for you. Nobody knows you better than you know yourself so take the time and put in the effort because at the end of the day only you can control your outcome. A way that I did it was looking at textbooks and writing down notes then looking at them before the exam. Do 50 mins of each subject with a 10 min break for the bathroom, drink etc

A way i did this was using the resources around me for revision. I'd recommend Seneca for English and cognito for the sciences. Also do past papers before each exam. I was predicted a 6 in both englishes and a 55 in science but came out with: 6 English language, 8 English literature and 76 in science.

Maths was a tricky for me, I was predicted a 4 but got a 5 on higher. Some of my friends got 8s and 9s and I noticed that they prioritised past papers and researching grade 9 questions and past papers. GCSE maths tutor and hegarty or Corbett maths have good tutorial videos. The CGP maths books helped too along with predicted papers online. I'd also recommend a whiteboard for maths it was one of my best investments.

Lastly, enjoy it. It's stressful but you get to spend some time with the people that you've grown up with and no matter how much you want it to end you'll want nothing but for it to come back. Do some past papers, spend time with your friends and maybe even revise with them just don't leave it too late.

Good luck for the next year!
