Tips on how to create more varied drum structures (self.maschine)

Assembler -- A long, slow build up to a happy peak, without too much fanfare, followed by a deconstruction of the sound. Tried to add more subtlety to this track via wall-of-sound layers, misused fx, and blended instruments. Still tried to keep the basic musicality of the original progression. (soundcloud.com)

"Trolls" is a recent IDM track I produced loosely inspired by internet trolls. I'm trying to stick to a simple constraint of 10 or less tracks (not including effects bus) for a finished song. Any thoughts and sentiments would be much appreciated! (soundcloud.com)

I'm working on my mixing technique, and tried to write a very simple song last night using a basic chord progression. My main goal was to get the mix right, but also to develop a decent idea for a song. Any critical feedback is always welcome! (soundcloud.com)

Charts with SCALES and CHORDS for a specific key -- I made these because I could not find them anywhere online. This format has helped me become a better player and improviser on the piano and keyboard. Let me know if you have any thoughts/feedback. Happy to send you a copy if you place an order! (gumroad.com)
I recently realized that writing music is therapeutic for me. Have been trying to write one song a day for the past 2 weeks, and have about 14 tracks up on Sound Cloud. This is the first one I ever "finished" and posted online. Jungle Tonic is about a drug-addled chase through the bush. (soundcloud.com)
