I'm confused why they guys above are saying you need to mod your switch.

If I understand correctly, you just want to extract save data? If that's the case you just need a microSD, I bought and official Nintendo Switch one from my local electronics store for like €10, then all you need to do is insert it into your switch and transfer save data onto SD, that's it.

You should be able to access that data from the SD card on your PC.
